Benefit Girl Meets Pearl: swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

First I want to once again welcome all the new followers! I can't believe how many people have joined my blog since posting my 500 Follower Giveaway... which seems like a really silly title to have for a giveaway now that I have over 1,100 followers! Because so many people have joined my blog, I plan to pick some additional winners and send them a surprise package! I haven't decided if I want to choose several additional winners (like 10) and send one item to each or if I want to pick less additional winners (like 2 or 3) and send mini prize packs that may contain 5 to 10 items each. I'll think about it and decide once the giveaway is over.

Anyhow...

In this post I'm going to show you swatches of Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl. I only had a sample card of this, so I don't have product pics of this item. My review isn't as thorough either, as I only sampled it and didn't test it out. Hopefully this post will still be helpfull!

Check out my swatches, stats, and review...

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl
Shade Description: A pearlized golden pink champagne shimmer.

Basic stats for Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl:
Formula: liquid
Coverage: sheer
Wear: average
Shade Info: Girl Meets Pearl is the only shade available; Benefit makes other highlighters (like High Beam and Moon Beam)
Cost/Availability: $30 (0.4 oz full size), available on Benefit's website, on Sephora's website, and everywhere else Benefit Cosmetics are sold (such as Ulta and Benefit boutique stores).
Packaging: twist-up tube; pull-off cap
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses!

Formula:
A liquid highlighter that contains moisturizing sesame seed oil and skin-soothing raspberry, chamomile, and sweet almond seed extract to improve skin firmness and smoothness.

Coverage:
Sheer color that blends out to leave behind a beautiful pearlized glow.

Wear:
I don't know the specific wear on this product, which is why I listed it as average. I'm basing my guess on the fact that the other Benefit highlighters I own are average wear and this formula seems head-to-head with those.

Shade Info:
Girl Meets Pearl is a pearlized golden pink champagne shimmer. It looks very pink at first glance, but blends out with a golden touch (as seen in the blended out swatch pic).

Cost/Availability:
The full sized version is $30 and available on Benefit's website, on Sephora's website, and everywhere else Benefit Cosmetics are sold (such as Ulta and Benefit boutique stores).

Packaging:
The full sized version comes in a tube that twists-up the product; pull off cap.

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl Review:
Since I only had a sample card of this product I can't write a true review, but I can write about what I thought of the sample.

Like other Benefit highlighters, Girl Meets Pearl is beautiful, easy to apply and looks great. I think Benefit makes some of the best liquid highlighters!

The color is great; it's pink and golden at the same time which means it will compliment many skin tones.

This is a product I would buy the full sized version of the next time I'm looking for a golden pink pearly highlighter! Check it out for yourself! :)

  1. I have tried this one before and it didn't work out very well for me, my skin can be pretty dry and it emphasized any dry spots even if I had a moisturizer on. :(

  5. Hmmm, I really don't know what to think because my skin is very oily and all I need is something matte and I just not sure if this is the right product for me?

  6. @ MissDoll: I have oily skin too (but not very oily, except in the summer) and I have no problems using Benefit's highlighters. I find they work better than powder highlighters for oily skin but everyone's skin is different. Try to get a sample of it if you can so you can test drive it before you buy it.
