b-leve b-exquisite Body Brush & b-vibrant Rejuvenating Day Lotion

Hello, Beautiful!

I had this review sitting in my drafts for far too long (it some how was forgotten), so thought I'd get this published before I let it sit there even longer! In this post I have two b-leve products that I tried out: the b-leve b-exquisite Body Brush and the b-leve b-vibrant Rejuvenating Day Lotion. I've reviewed a couple b-leve products in the past and have been happy with them all. I really like the Body Brush, but I had just okay thoughts about the Rejuvenating Day Lotion. Check out all the product info, along with my full review, after each set of pics!

b-level b-exquisite Body Brush

b-level b-exquisite Body Brush Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $8.99. Available on the b-leve website and at fine grocers. Click here to find a retailer near you.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Product Info...

The b-leve b-exquisite Body Brush has a bamboo handle. Made in China.

Use with your favorite body wash or soap for a luxurious bathing experience. Great for those hard to reach places - like your back. Rinse and air dry when finished using it.

My Review...

I haven't really been a body brush user up until about a year or so ago when I started to incorporate an anti-cellulite brush into my life -- the Mama Mio Body Brush, that came in my Bootcamp For Butts kit. The Mama Mio Body Brush is great for dry brushing, but I never took it into the shower - plus, it doesn't have a long handle so it wouldn't be good for hard to reach places.

The b-leve b-exquisite Body Brush is great! It's not the most soft brush in the whole wide word, but it's effective for sure. It's also inexpensive at just $8.99, so for the price this is a great body brush!

It makes scrubbing my back a breeze with a body scrub - which I typically can't do myself, as I can't get the middle of my back with the scrub or effectively use the scrub myself. But if I put it on this body brush and then use it, I'm good to go. I use it with body wash too, but I honestly prefer to use it with a body scrub because the brush provides that extra bit of exfoliation.

Final Thoughts...

If you like body brushes, or want to start using one in the shower, then this is a great one to get. It's effective and leaves my skin softer than if I just used my hands, wash cloth or one of those shower puffs (which is what I normally use). Would recommend!

b-level b-vibrant Rejuvenating Day Lotion

My Review...

As I mentioned as the start of this post, I've reviewed a couple b-leve products in the past here on my blog - like their Tranquil Body Lotion, Tranquil Body Wash, and their Moisturizing b-hydrated Shampoo & Conditioner. I've really liked them all, and I even liked the Body Brush too - but I just wasn't as big of a fan of this Rejuvenating Day Lotion.

At $18.99 this is a pricey product from the b-leve line, which are typically around the $7.99 price point for their hair and body items - but their face skin care is more within the higher price range of $14.99 to $19.99, with the exception of their cleanser that is $7.99 and their facial wipes that are $3.99.

For me, this just wasn't hydrating enough. It was very lightweight and it did absorb into my skin nicely and had a light scent but it just didn't feel all that hydrating on my skin when I did use it. It may work better for me in the summer when I like to wear a lighter moisturizer during the day. This also may be a great choice for those of you with oily to very oily skin who like a lighter moisturizer.

Final Thoughts...

This was just okay for me. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. It just wasn't a good match for me. I think for the price I could get a different moisturizer that would hydrate my skin type more. It has good reviews on the b-leve website, so it obviously works for some people. This just wasn't a love affair for me and something I personally wouldn't re-purchase but would still say to check it out if you are a fan of the b-leve products and want to try their skincare out with a light moisturizer.

Konjac Sponges: French Clay Facial Sponges (French Green Clay, French Pink Clay) and the Big Body Buffer - pics, reviews

Hello, Beautiful!

Have you heard of the Konjac Sponge Co.? This is a new-to-me brand that really intrigued me because of their products. I have three of their sponges to share with you in this post: I have two of their French Clay Facial Sponges -- the Puff Sponge with added French Green Clay for Normal to Oily Skin, and the Puff Sponge with added French Pink Clay for Tired & Devitalized Skin. I also have their Big Body Buffer Sponge. These sponges have an amazingly soft, non-irritating texture - and I'm sensitive to textures, especially sponges, and I didn't mind the way these felt.

100% natural vegetable sponges for face and body. These sponges have no artificial coloring and are blended with natures finest and purest natural ingredients. They gently exfoliate for naturally deep cleansing. Made with 100% natural konjac fibre from the root of the Amorphophallus konjac plant, these sponges are moisture rich and naturally alkaline, balancing the acidity of the skin and its oils. The unique net-like structure of the sponge gently massages the skin and stimulates blood flow and new growth of skin cells, leaving the skin extremely soft, clean and refreshed. The extra soft texture is ideal for even the most hypersensitive skin. The sponge will not damage the delicate skin surface and is non-abrasive. Deeply cleanses the pores, helping eliminate dirt, excess oil, bacteria, blackheads and blocked pores.

Check out my all the product info after each set of pics.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

The perfect facial sponge for normal to combination or oily t-zone skin. French Green Clay is used at the finest spas. It contains micro molecules which absorbs dirt, oil, and bacteria, while gently cleansing the pores. Green Clay has been widely used as an effective facial cleansing cream for a long time, since it has very strong sterilization function.

Note: As with all the Konjac sponges, they should be treated gently and squeezed out after use between the palms of your two flattened hands. Never wring them out and always allow to air dry between uses. Change your sponge whenever it starts to look tired or broken down (remember, its a biodegradable plant based product!).

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

The perfect facial sponge for sensitive easily irritated, hypersensitive skin. Pink clay is a mix of red and white clay. Pink clay is soft, and is recommended for tired, sensitive and dehydrated skin types. It helps to turn rough and hardened skin into soft and radiant skin, rejuvenating and plumping, as well as helping return the skin's natural elasticity. Great for skin that has had lots of sun exposure.

This is their biggest sponge ever! A wopping handful of Konjac Sponge in purest 100% konjac. Measuring approximately 90x150x30 mm when hydrated.

Ergonomically shaped for a lovely big deep cleanse and drench of the skin. Gently exfoliating, pH balanced and deeply soft and comfy. Makes your favorite bath cleanser go a very long way!

Note: As with all the Konjac sponges, they should be treated gently and squeezed out after use between the palms of your two flattened hands. Never wring them out and always allow to air dry between uses.

This sponge should last several months with gentle care, but change your sponge whenever it starts to look tired or broken down (remember, its a biodegradable plant based product!).

This sponge is easy to use, but can feel slippery in your hand. Does a nice job at distributing body products and feeling soft on the skin.

Cool Off - The Quick Chill - Icy Cold Herbal Towelettes: pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Summer isn't over yet and one way to beat the heat when you're outdoors is with a product called Cool Off - The Quick Chill - Icy Cold Herbal Towelettes! This new-to-me product has been a must-have in my purse all summer long. I've used these at the amusement park and they were so nice to have on hand. They really do keep you feeling cool and refreshed. Would be great to use after a long work out too! Check out my full review, and all the product info, after the pics!

Cool Off - The Quick Chill
Icy Cold Herbal Towelettes

Cool Off - The Quick Chill - Icy Cold Herbal Towelettes Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $4.99 and up, depending on the pack size you get. Available on the Cool Off website, at CVS, at Amazon, and everywhere else Cool Off products are sold. Click here to find a retailer near you.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

Cool Off - The Quick Chill - Icy Cold Herbal Towelettes contain 17 natural herbs, botanicals and essential oils, all infused in a luxurious towelette that refreshes, renews, re-energizes and most importantly - cools you off!

These towelettes will reduce your skin temperature about 10 to 13 degrees in just minutes! Your skin temperature will stay up to 13 degrees cooler for an hour or more! They come in a Citrus Ice scent - which isn't my favorite scent, but it's not awful.

I can say that these really do work! They are amazing and other than the scent, I would have given them 5 out of 5 Kisses! All you do is open them, take the towelette out and shake it lightly. Then press it onto your skin where you want to be cooled down; back of your neck, inner arms, back of the knees, your chest, back, and forehead. You can wipe it on too, but pressing it on for several seconds will build the chill. You can even keep the towelette on your skin for maximum coolness. To reactivate the cool, splash a little water on the areas where you wiped the towelette!

Great for the amusement park - which is primarily where I've used these. They truly do work - I even had goosebumps at one point when the wind hit me, and this is in 85/90 degree weather -- that's just how good they work! They feel so great!

Would be wonderful for sports and fitness activities, theme parks, the beach, outdoor activities - like hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, golf - and if you're in the construction field these would be great! If you get hot flashes or night sweats these could be a great product to keep by your bed. And you could even use them when you have a headache!

Overall, I really was impressed with these wipes and would highly recommend them as a way to stay cool, refresh and renew!

May Lindstrom Skin - The Problem Solver Correcting Masque - pics, swatches, review - plus the brush & clay bowl

Hello, Beautiful!

I am so excited to share this product with you today because it is one of the few face masks that really work and deliver results instantly. From a new-to-me skincare line, May Lindstrom Skin, her correcting masque - called The Problem Solver - is an instant winner in my book! This face mask beings its life as a powder and transforms into a mousse - but you can adjust the consistency based on what you want. In this post I'll also share with you her Treatment Duo, which are two tools to make your skincare routine turn into an at-home spa experience. Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics.

May Lindstrom Skin
The Problem Solver - Correcting Masque

May Lindstrom Skin The Problem Solver Correcting Masque Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $90.00 (8.45 oz/250 ml full size). Available on the May Lindstrom Skin website.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!!!!

A jet-black fusion of antioxidant-rich raw cacao, healing bamboo charcoal, soil nutrients, salts, and exotic warming spices go deep on a mission to reveal your most radiant self.

This intense treatment masque effectively purifies and tightens pores, extinguishes inflammations, fights and heals blemishes, jump-starts circulation in the epidermis, and detoxifies skin with delightful ease and power.

The radically different powder-to-mousse formula activates on contact with water - only releasing its magic at the exact moment of use so you experience full potency every time.

This mask can be summed in in three words: Hero, Over-achiever, Superstar.

Seriously... this is amazing. It was an instant winner to me right after I washed it off my face. Yes, I know the $90 price tag may not be in everyone's budget, but trust me, if you can work this in your budget you won't regret your purchase. This is one of those masks that does what it says - and you can actually see and feel a difference in your skin. After I washed this off my skin was brighter, had a glow, my pores looked smaller, I felt like it drew out the impurities, and it felt healthier as well.

As for how to get the mask going, you'll just scoop out a tablespoon of product and mix it with equal parts water. Once it fluffs up to a mousse, apply to your face. When you open the jar, or dump the powder into a bowl, there may be some powder-cloud that comes out so don't open it too close to your face. I found it made me sneeze a bit, but that's okay.

When you apply the mask to your face you may feel some heat -- I didn't feel much heat, maybe a little - but you will feel a tingle. It's nothing super crazy, but it does get intense as the mask goes to work. You will need to leave this mask on for a good amount of time - about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how thick you applied it. You'll just want to make sure it's fully dry and when it is dry, the mask will dry down to a green color (it starts off as a black-brown color).

Once it's dry, just rinse it off. I take a wet paper towel and wipe it off - and it comes off easily (which is always nice). Then you'll look at your face and be like "wow" because you will notice a difference!

I absolutely LOVED this mask and will purchase another one once this one is gone. I would recommend this to anyone - but especially those with problematic skin or anyone who just needs a pick-me up.

Here is some additional information from May herself...

It will feel hot as it goes to work tackling your every skin dilemma, but is actually quite safe and effective, even for sensitive skin. Think of it like what happens when you go to a sauna or work out really hard -- your blood circulation is increased, sending oxygen racing into your cells, which encourages major healing and gives you that "glow" everyone is striving for.

She formulated this mask for results, but she also strives to create an experience. She loves feeling her skin respond in the moment of the treatment. Warming spices are very powerful; not only do they provide an invigorating heat and tingle as they increase your circulation, but these plants have serious beauty benefits....

Cayenne pepper stimulates the blood flow to the skin, which enables oxygen and necessary nutrients to reach the cells. It reduces inflammation and swelling and delivers antioxidant carotenes, flavonoids and vitamins A and E. Nutmeg and clove are both anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, stopping acne in its tracks. Nutmeg is also a natural skin brightener, softening age spots and discolorations. Clove as a stimulating effect on the mind, which eliminates mental exhaustion and fatigue. Cinnamon facilitates the synthesis of collagen in the skin, the breakdown of which is partially responsible for the skin's appearance as we mature in years.

The Problem Solver gets it's signature black hue from activated bamboo carbon charcoal. In many parts of Asia this sexy sounding ingredient has been used for centuries for its ability to deeply and gently cleanse your pores, absorbing minerals, toxins, impurities, and other harmful substances from your skin. It is known as the "black diamond" of healer and addresses everything from acne to eczema with grace and ease. Once brought to life with water, the bamboo charcoal releases many beneficial minerals, such as calcium, potassium and magnesium. This creates a soothing and powerful true spa experience that goes beyond the effects you will notice on the surface.

The Problem Solver is a powder to mousse formula. Water-free formulas are wonderful. By leaving out any fillers or water, May is able to skip questionable preservatives entirely -- delivering serious results in the most body and earth conscious way. An added bonus is that the product becomes adjustable - you can customize the density and texture of every treatment depending on the state of your skin or mood. The Problem Solver will bubble and fizz and puff up to a soft mousse texture upon hydration, adding major fun factor along with the highest potency possible!

If you are looking for immediate results, this is the mask for you. From night one, you will notice a difference in the overall texture of your skin, a relief of dullness and congestion and added glow. Over time, issues like inflammation, acne, irritation and discoloration will be addressed.

To use: Activate a tablespoon of powder formula with equal parts water in a bowl, blending to form a soft mousse. Massage over skin and relax. Treatment time is 45 minutes - or until fully dry. Expect a slightly hot and tingling sensation. Once dry, rinse and follow up with the May Lindstrom Skin The Youth Dew.

May Lindstrom Skin
The Treatment Duo: Tools for your Ritual

May Lindstrom Skin The Treatment Duo: Tools for your Ritual Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $30 for the brush; $32 for the bowl. Available on the May Lindstrom Skin website.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

This duo of tools make applying the May Lindstrom Skin The Problem Solver Correcting Masque simple, easy, and gives the entire experience a more spa-like feel. It adds that extra-special pampering touch.

The brush is a must-have tool for creating your perfect facial experience. It feels good in your hand and is sturdy as well as beautiful. Crafted with vegan-friendly Taklon fibers, recyclable aluminum ferrule and a natural wood handle. Even though this brush is made for applying a face mask, you can use it for other skin care products too -- or even switch it up and apply your foundation with it!

The limited quantity handmade clay bowl is the perfect vessel for bringing your skin treatments to life. This is truly a piece of art, brought to us by local clay magician Melissa Brown. Each bowl is unique, with beautiful texturing in the natural clay and a subtle dandelion in antiqued 24K gold fired into its center.

Sure, you don't need these two tools to use the masque - or any other of the May Lindstrom Skin products -but if you're in need of some serious at-home spa pampering, then these two tools will take you there. You can use them with other skincare products you currently own - and because they're of such good quality, they'll last you a long time, if not a lifetime.
