Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream & Lip Balm - pics, swatches, reviews

Hello, Beautiful!

This number one selling brand in Japan, Yu-Be (pronounced YOO-BEE), offers several great, affordable products - including the cult favorite Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream. If you belong to any beauty subscription services, like Birchbox, you may have received a small sample tube in the past. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out! This Moisturizing Skin Cream can be used on face and body - I've even heard of people even using it on lips (but I have the Yu-Be Lip Therapy, so I choose to use that on my lips instead). Speaking of the Yu-Be Lip Balm, that's also in this blog post. Read my full review on each product below, including all the product info, after each set of pics.

Yu-Be is a glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and camphor. It's the uniquely high glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, which makes Yu-Be so effective on severe dry skin and truly sets it apart from other creams.

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream contains these leading skin conditioning ingredients:
  • Glycerin - "humectant" attracts and retains moisture in the skin, making it softer.
  • Vitamin E - antioxidant and skin protector.
  • Vitamin B2 - helps to smooth rough or damaged skin, also gives Yu-Be it's yellow color.
  • Vitamin C - antioxidant and skin protector helps improve elasticity in skin.
  • Camphor - helps soothe minor skin irritations - mild scent fades in minutes leaving skin feeling healthy.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate - humectant helps retain moisture to smooth rough skin and reduce fine lines.
  • Concentrated moisturizer helps hydrate, heal, soothe and smooth severe dry skin.
  • Helps heal split cuticles and smooth rough, dry skin on hands, elbows, knees and feet.
  • Helps protect and moisturize skin exposed to cold, wind, water or sun.
  • Non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and locks in for hours. Good for all day or all night.
  • Contains no artificial colors or fragrances.
I've gotten several small sample tubes in various beauty subscription services - and there is a reason this keeps popping up all over: it works great and is affordable.

Yu-Be Lip Therapy (Lip Balm) is an all-natural lip balm manufactured in the USA. The ingredients are based on the original 50 year old Japanese Yu-Be formula and includes Vitamin E and camphor. This product is highly effective for moisturizing, healing and soothing dry chapped lips.

This lip balm is very effective for helping dry lips. Because of the camphor ingredient in this lip balm there is a different scent, almost "medical", but you don't even notice it after a little. It may not be a scent for everyone, so keep that in mind, but if you have very dry lips you may be fine with it. Honestly, it's not bad - but I know it's not for everyone. The camphor also helps relieve discomfort of your lips, leaving them feeling healthy. I have dry lips year round and so far (spring and summer) this lip balm has been a real winner for me. I can't wait to try it out in the winter and see how it performs!

I think this is an affordable lip balm that would be great to anyone who has dry lips and wants them to heal, feel better, and look healthy.

Now let me know what you think...

Hello, Beautiful!

Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish is a must-have skinnovation based on the original Yu-Be Moisturizing Cream formula. Invented in 1957 by a Japanese pharmacist, Yu-Be is the number-one selling medicated, vitamin-enriched skincare cream in Japan today. Cleanses, exfoliates and softens. The Japanese bathing ritual or "ofuro" has been an important and sacred custom for many centuries. Bath provide both relaxation for the mind and improved health for the body by stimulating blood circulations.

Scrub away stress and layers of rough, dry skin cells by including Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish in your "ofuro".

Fine grains of rice bran combine with bamboo and gentle cleansing agents to create a luxuriously foaming scrub that washes away dry skin. Extracts of ginger root and ginseng tone and balance the skin, while green tea, geranium oil and camphor provide a soothing, refreshing sensation.

I really liked this scrub! It is great for your body, but also a great rougher scrub for your face - without being too harsh. I like to use this more on my face - using it about once a week to keep my skin soft & smooth. But I do like it for my body too -- I just think it will last longer for me if I keep it specifically for my face. It has a nice, light fresh clean scent -- not like how the other Yu-Be products smell (which is more of a medical scent -- this is just a nice fresh scent).

Really liked this and would recommend!
