  • Opal Oyster: silvery taupe
  • Mermaid Marine: shimmering teal

My Review...

These remind me a lot of the Rimmel Cool Touch Shadow - anyone remember those? They remind me of those shadows in the way they feel cooling on the lids and they have a similar texture -- but the Laura Geller Cool Lids are a grown up, way better version - both in shade selection and performance.

Upon first application they do provide a nice cooling sensation - which is great in the warmer months for that extra bit of "ahhh". The cooling feeling of course goes away, so it's not going to keep you cool for hours on end, or even past several minutes - but it is a nice touch. I find that if I have puffy eyes (such as from crying), these shadows feel soooo soothing on my lids.

They have a nice smooth creamy texture that is buildable. I prefer to apply these with my fingers, but I have used a brush before -- fingertip application is definitely my preferred application method. These are great on their own or as a shadow base.

They are pricey at $19 a piece, so the QVC 3-piece bundle is the cheapest way to go if you want to to try more than one shade. The only other shade I'd really like to try is Opal Oyster.

I have two shades: Silver Sands and Bronze Beauty.

Silver Sands is for sure my favorite of the two shades. Just a really pretty taupey metallic shade. It has a mix of silver, taupe, gray and champagne all together. If there is one shade you try, let is be Silver Sands. I think it will compliment a lot of different skintones and will pull slightly different in hue depending on your skintone due to how dimensional the shade can be.

Bronze Beauty is really pretty bronze, but I find it a bit too warm - a bit orange copper on me, but it may pull differently on you. I still have used it on its own and under other shadow and was able to get a really pretty eye look.

Both these shades are pretty metallic - so if you're not into that kind of look then these are not for you. But if you do like a metallic look on the eye, then you'll fall in love with these. Super quick and easy to get a stunning metallic look!

Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Sunswept - swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Laura Geller makes some of my favorite blushes. Her baked Blush-N-Brighten blushes are some of the most natural, gorgeous blushes I've ever used. The shade Apricot Berry is my favorite so far, but in this post I'll show you the shade Sunswept.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review... click on pics to view them larger.

Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten
Shade: Sunswept
Shade Description: A pink, peach, and bronze combo.

Basic Stats for Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten:
Formula: baked powder
Wear: average to above average
Coverage: buildable
Shade Info: available in about 8 shades
Cost/Availability: $29.50 to $35.00 depending where you shop and if you buy it with a brush (0.176 oz full size). Available on the Laura Geller website, QVC's website, Ulta's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller is sold. Also available for sale with the applicator brush on Laura Geller's website and QVC's website.
Packaging: rounded compact that opens to reveal a half mirror on one side and baked blush on the other
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Formula:
Laura Geller's baked blushes start their life as a cream of marbleized pigments, swirled together. They bake to a soft, silky powder. Each one is unique, but no matter what the colors blend together perfectly to give your cheeks glowing, radiant color.

Wear:
Average to above average wear. I find Laura's blushes last pretty long.

Coverage:
You can control how sheer or full coverage her blushes are. These build color beautifully.

Shade Info:
Currently available in at least 8 shades. I have 3 shades: Honey Dipped, Apricot Berry, and Sunswept. Sunswept is more pink right now on me because on the top of my blush I have more pink tones showing than bronze or peach. That may change as I get further down the pan.

Cost/Availability:
$29.50 to $35.00 depending where you shop and if you buy it with a brush (0.176 oz full size). Available on the Laura Geller websiteQVC's websiteUlta's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller is sold. Also available for sale with the applicator brush on Laura Geller's website and QVC's website.

Packaging:
Rounded compact that opens to reveal a half-mirror on one side and the baked blush color on the other.

Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten Review:
I love the Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten blushes! They go on so naturally pretty and because they are a mix of shades, compliment my skintone so much better. They also last forever too!

The shade in this post, Sunswept, is a little more like a highlight shade, since it's mostly pink on the top. But it's a sweet pink and a pretty way to highlight my cheeks or use on my eyes. I still prefer the shade Apricot Berry, but will add this as a highlight shade when I want a little extra pretty on my cheeks. This shade would be great for those with fair skintones.

Overall, yes, I would absolutely recommend Laura's Blush-N-Brighten blushes!

Laura Geller Bronze-n-Brighten in Medium/Regular -- swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

It's winter, and that means my skin is at its palest. This is the time when I find myself using bronzer the most, but I don't want to look orange and I don't want to look shimmery; I just want to warm my complexion. Laura Geller's Bronze-N-Brighten is perfect for me! It applies like a dream, warms my complexion, is long lasting, and transfer resistant.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review...

Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten
Shade: Medium/Regular

Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten PRO's & CON's:
PRO's: buildable color, goes on with ease, long lasting, looks natural
CON's: not for those with tan to deep skintones (which really isn't a con, considering this is a bronzer and that's the norm for this type of product)

Basic Stats for Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten:
Formula: baked powder
Wear: average to above average
Coverage: sheer; buildable
Shade Info: two shades: fair or regular/medium
Cost/Availability: $31.00 (0.32 oz full size). Available on Laura Geller's website, Ulta's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller cosmetics are sold. Also available for sale with her retractable brush for $35.00 on QVC's website (which is a great deal, since the brush is usually $15 on its own). QVC also sells a super sized version (0.85 oz) for $48.50 and it includes a brush; probably the best deal although right now they are sold out of the super sized version.
Packaging: round compact with a mirror
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Formula:
This bronzer begins its life as a cream of several different shades, then baked on a terracotta pan for 24 hours. The end results is this beautiful baked powder bronzer, which applies like a dream. Loaded with age fighting, anti-oxidant protection of Centella Asiatica and white tea. Transfer resistant and long lasting. Its color correcting pigments help even out skintone, leaving you with a very believable kiss of color.

Wear:
For me, this product lasts a very long time and it's also transfer resistant.

Coverage:
Sheer, buildable color.

Shade Info:
Available in two shades; one for Fair skintones and one that is labeled as Regular/Medium, for those in the light to medium skintone category.

Cost/Availability:
$31.00 (0.32 oz full size). Available on Laura Geller's websiteUlta's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller cosmetics are sold. Packaging:
Round compact with mirror on the inside.

Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten Review:
This is a wonderful bronzer. First, look at how pretty it is in the compact! If you haven't already, go back and click on the photos to view them larger to check out how pretty it is. I must have stared at it for at least 15 minutes before ever swatching; it's just so pretty! Everyone's compact will look a little different because this formula begins its life as a cream before being baked. I love all Laura's baked products because of the wonderful combination of colors, that somehow seamlessly blend into perfect shades. Because this product starts as a cream, this powder has a nice creamy consistency to it, making it a dream to apply.

On me, this looks very natural. No shimmer or glitter! It is matte, but it has color correcting pigments in it that will give your skin a beautiful look so you don't look ruddy, muddy, or orange -- and that's something very important to me; I don't want to look orange at all! I also found that this bronzer lasts a very long time on me, which is sort of unusual for a bronzer; they normally fade quickly on me.

I normally use this like you would any other bronzer (doing the "3-E" application), or as a contour under my cheekbones and jawline. But I also like to use it as an all-over face color to warm my complexion. Since this bronzer begins its life as a cream, you can use it wet or dry and you can also use it on your body. It's transfer resistant, so you won't have to worry about it getting on your clothes.

Overall, yes, I would recommend this to those that normally use bronzer or are looking for a bronzer. If you have tan to deeper skintones then you'll want to skip this product.

Laura Geller Air Whipped Blush in Whisper Berry -- pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Not long ago I tried out the Laura Geller Air Whipped Blush in the shade Whisper Berry. I'm really subjective when it comes to mousse/cream-style blushes; I either love 'em or hate 'em. I happen to love this one.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review...

Laura Geller Air Whipped Blush
Shade: Whisper Berry
Shade Description: A warm medium berry pink.

Basic stats for Laura Geller Air Whipped Blush:
Formula: mousse
Coverage: buildable
Wear: average to above average
Shade Info: several shades available
Cost/Availability: $26 to $27 (0.45 fl oz full size). Available on the Laura Geller website, Ulta's website, QVC's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller cosmetics are sold.
Packaging: domed top rounded jar; twist-off lid; replaceable plastic disc (to help prevent drying out)
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses!

Formula:
A buildable coverage air-whipped mousse blush. Loaded with antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E. Helps smooth skin texture while leaving behind luminosity that helps to blur away little lines and imperfections.

Coverage:
This is buildable coverage, from sheer to full. That's the great part of a cream blush; you can usually get great sheer, natural coverage or add more to to your desired level of pigmentation.

Wear:
Average to above average wear, depending on if you prime and set your makeup.

Shade Info:
Available in a few shades; currently I've only seen Whisper Berry on the QVC website. Other shades include: Whisper Rose, Whisper Petal, and Whisper Mulberry.

Cost/Availability:
$26 to $27 (0.45 fl oz full size). Available on the Laura Geller websiteUlta's websiteQVC's website, and everywhere else Laura Geller cosmetics are sold.

Packaging:
This round jar has a domed gold lid, which is larger than the actual jar of product. It twists-off to reveal a plastic disc, which you will re-place after each use. The plastic disc is designed to help keep the product away from air exposure. With any mousse or cream product you'll want to make sure you close the lid tightly immediately after use to prevent the product from drying out.

Laura Geller Air-Whipped Blush Review:
This was a blush I was always curious about but waited awhile to actually try out. I'm glad I tried it because I really like the formula. What I like best is how natural of a look you can achieve using this. You don't need to use a lot of product; in my swatch photo I used a lot more than I would use on my cheeks. You only need a very small amount of product to get a pretty look.

You can blend with your fingers or use a brush. I don't have a preference with which method I like best; both work well for me.

The shade Whisper Berry looks very dark in the jar (and even in the swatch photo it looks darker than I wear it). It's actually a very flattering shade, especially on my medium skintone. It has pretty warm undertones and it doesn't look one-color; it seems to have different hues that create a beautiful combination of luminous, natural color.

I don't use this blush too often because I go through phases where I wear blush all the time and then other times I don't wear any; a lot depends on my current breakouts and how bad my cheeks look, lol. I still prefer a powder blush (Laura Geller's Blush-N-Brighten blushes are some of my favorites), but this mousse blush is a really nice way to wear blush in a natural, sheer way without having a powdery look. It looks very fresh; it would be a wonderful option for the summer. Also great for the winter for those who get dry cheeks.

Overall, a really great product with a nice texture. I would recommend!
