Hello, Beautiful!

This brush is affordable, has a great thin end for sectioning, and teases hair beautifully. Check out my full review, including all the product info, after the pics!

Cricket Amped Up Tease Sparkle Brush

Cricket Amped Up Tease Sparkle Brush Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: About $3.79 to $4.58 depending on where you shop and if you have a Sally memership card. Available at Sally Beauty, at Folica, and everywhere else Cricket brushes are sold. I know some Ulta's carry Cricket brushes, but not sure if they will get this holiday version in.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

The Cricket Amped Up Tease Brush - sparkle edition - works great to increase volume on all hair types. Great for updo styling and increasing volume on all hair types.

Boar/nylon mixed multi-level bristles enable you to create various degrees of volume and style easily. A unique bristle pattern and texture minimizes damage, breakage, frizz and split ends. Hair is left smooth and shiny.

An ergonomic handle provides maximum comfort as well as being heat and chemical resistant. Specially designed sectioning tip allows for separation and texture variation.

This is the new holiday 2013 edition, sparkly and cute! I love this tease brush - works really well and the pointed end is really great for sectioning off hair. It's actually the main reason I wanted this brush - as I already have another teasing brush but this one has a way better end for sectioning.

I have the pink sparkle (I believe called Fuchsia), but available in other colors.

No complaints - this is a great affordable teasing brush and the fact it's sparkly pink makes it even better for me! Would recommend!

The Wet Brush in Classic Yellow - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I've heard of The Wet Brush for awhile now, but up until recently I hadn't tried it. Now that I have tried it I don't know how I lived without it! It's the perfect brush to use after the shower when you're hair is still wet and you're combing it out or combing through products in damp hair. It effortlessly combs and detangles without pulling hair or getting caught - even in my long, prone-to-tangles hair. This is a must-have brush! Check out my full review and all the product info after the pics.

The Wet Brush
Shade: Classic Yellow

The Wet Brush Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $14.00 (per brush). Available on The Wet Brush website, at Ulta, and everywhere else The Wet Brush is sold.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

The magic of The Wet Brush is in the specially formulated IntelliFlex bristles. IntelliFlex bristles are thin, strong and very flexible. They have intelligent flexibility - flexible on one stroke and firm on the next. The adaptive flexibility of IntelliFlex eliminates all tugging, tearing, pulling and ripping. No split ends, no hair loss. It provides healthy brushing and detangling, creating the perfect transition from wash to style!

With just one use, you'll learn why it's the world's best detangling brush! Works great on wet or dry hair - in the shower, after a shower, and everywhere else. Perfect for men, women and especially kids. Great for any hair type: thick, thin, curly, or straight. Also can be used on hair extensions and wigs.

Available in 5 classic colors, I have yellow, and also available in 7 Pro Select Colors.

I loved the way this brush felt. It has a rubber coated non-slip handle that feels great wet or dry. Like it says, there is no hair loss - well, virtually no hair loss. I believe I've seen one or two strands of my hair in it - and that's a huge difference from regular brushing!

The style I have is oval shaped, but it does come in other styles - like a paddle version. Click here to see all that Wet Brush has to offer.

I really loved this brush after a single use, and the more I use it the more I love it and can't believe I have lived my life without it. Truly a must-have hair brush and it's not even expensive! I highly recommend getting at least one Wet Brush!

John Frieda Volume Curls 1-1/2" Barrel Curling Iron - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

John Frieda is one of my favorite hair product brands; I've used their styling products for years but have never used one of their styling tools. I recently received the Volume Curls 1-1/2" barrel Curling Iron and I was excited to give it a try.

Check out my pics, info, and review... click on pics to view them larger.

John Frieda Volume Curls 1 1/2" Barrel Curling Iron Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $29.00. Check it out on the John Frieda website, and purchase at Ulta, on Drugstore.com, and everywhere else John Frieda products are sold.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Create voluminous waves with a 1 1/2 inch curling iron powered by advanced ionic technology.

True ceramic heat reaches up to 400 degrees F for salon quality results while 11 professional digital settings create customized style for all hair types and textures.

Use lower heat setting for fine hair, medium settings for medium hair, and the highest settings for coarse and/or thick hair.

I've been using a clamp-less curling iron for over a year now, so switching back to a clamp curling iron worried me at first - but it was like riding a bike and I remembered how easy it was to curl hair with a clamp iron. This curling iron heats up quickly: in just 30 seconds you have heat! Has a swivel cord, which makes using it easy. Auto shut-off too.

Since it does heat up so quickly, and to such a high temperature, you need to be careful using this. I would have really liked to see a heat glove included since the tip of the curling iron gets hot to the touch and typically that is the spot one of your hands touches to help start the curl up (at least for most people). It got very warm, although I could still tolerate the heat on the tip. I do have a heat glove from my clamp-less curling iron that I could use with this if I choose, but I really don't find it totally necessary. I've read that this comes with a heat mat, but mine did not.

This curling iron easily and quickly curled my hair, giving me soft, large, loose curls. I liked the size of the curl it produced because it makes my hair look better than blah but without looking like I put in a ton of effort. I have long hair (mid-back) and I was able to do my entire head of hair in about 10 minutes.

Overall it was a nice curling iron that could use a few upgrades (would love to see it clamp-less and with a heat glove) but I still think it's a great iron and would recommend it - especially for anyone looking for larger, looser, effortless looking wavy curls.
