Exude Lip Creme in Nude, Plum - swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Back in March 2012 I shared with you a review on the Exude Lip Creme in Red. In this post I'll share with you two more shades: Nude and Plum. I didn't really like the Red shade; it was a pretty shade but not my style. However, I love the Nude shade and the Plum shade is growing on me. I think I'd want to try the Pink shade next.

Exude Lip Creme Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $29.00 (0.09 fl oz full size). Available on the Exude website, on the Birchbox website, and everywhere else Exude lip products are sold.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

A lightweight, comfortable and moisturizing lip creme formula. Enhanced with a smooth minty scent, the creme lush finish comes from the custom formula of vitamin E & C mixed in a creamy elastic gel texture.

Great pigmentation and you can build the color from medium to fully opaque. I prefer to wear there on the sheerer side. Comes in lipstick-like tube that twists the product up and out the lipstick bullet. Basically a liquid lipstick in a lipstick tube & bullet style packaging. Unlike traditional lipsticks, Exude's Lip Creme will never wear down, melt or crumble because of the crystal applicator (which helps to release the perfect amount of lipstick with each application).

The packaging of these Lip Creme's is great for gift giving! They already come in their own little box, with the lip creme tube perfectly nestled in and ready for pretty presentation; just add ribbon and a bow!

Available in 9 shades. Out of the 6 remaining shades I don't have, I'd want to try the Pink, Coral, and Rosy Brown. One great thing about the Exude website is you can upload a photo of yourself and virtually try on different lip colors.

Even though I prefer the Exude Lip Gloss formula, I still like the Lip Creme formula. I just find their Lip Gloss formula applies better from the tube than the Lip Creme formula does. Both the gloss and creme feel comfortable on my lips, are shiny, and wear great.

I'd recommend checking out the Exude Lip Cremes!

Exude Lip Creme in Red No. 1 - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Not long ago I reviewed the Exude Lip Gloss, which I absolutely loved and have been keeping in my purse; the color is perfection when it comes to a nude and the formula is really wonderful. In this post I'll share with you the Exude Lip Creme, which I didn't like as much - I still liked it, but I loved the lip gloss version and I only kind of liked the lip creme version. The shade I have, Red No. 1, isn't a color for me - I just don't like red lipstick on me, but if you like red shades then you would love this one!

Exude Lip Creme Review:
I want to start off by saying that I do like the formula of this Lip Creme, but hated the applicator for it. It's the same applicator/packaging as the Exude Lip Gloss, but for some reason I find it much messier/more annoying to apply the Lip Creme. I'm not sure why, but that's just what I thought. I find it's easier to apply a little bit in the center of your lip, then use your pinky finger to apply it or even a lip brush.

The shade I have, Red No. 1, isn't a shade for me only because I'm not a fan of red shades on me. However, if I put aside how it looks on me, I can say this is a really pretty red. It's a nice vibrant, true red. There is a lot of shine to it too, which is why I liked this formula, and it does feel comfortable on your lips.

Overall, I think this is a really nice formula, but I didn't like the application method of this when I compare it to the Exude Lip Gloss. I'd still recommend trying it out, and I think some people were lucky enough to get one in their Birchbox shipments!

Exude Lip Gloss in Brown No. 3 - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I've been wanting to try the exude lip products for awhile now, as I've been reading a lot of buzz about them. Exude sent me two products to test out and consider reviewing on my blog; one is their Lip Creme in Red No. 1 (which I'll review in a future blog post) and the other is their Lip Gloss in Brown No. 3 - which is what I'm showing you in this blog post. I've already tried both and love the Lip Gloss way more. I am in love with this shade - such a pretty nude! Looks much darker online.

exude Lip Gloss Review:
I'm going to start off with the packaging. I was surprised at how nicely this lip gloss was packaged. It came in its own box, sitting nicely inside. I think its perfect for gifting!

The actual product packaging makes it look like a lipstick, but it's actually a twist-up color gloss. It does make it a bit messy for application, but not so bad. I have the exude Lip Creme and I find that application messy, but the gloss applies so much better.

The formula of this gloss was nice. I didn't find it super hydrating, but it wasn't drying either. It went on smooth and was super glossy. As I mentioned above under "Shade Info", the shade I have - Brown No. 3 - is way lighter in person than it is online. I actually love the color. It's such a pretty nude shade - it has just a touch of pink undertone, almost even peachy, and the shimmer in it is subtle. It looks great on my skintone and perfect to pair with a smokey eye.

Overall, a great color gloss. I'd recommend checking it out!
