Hello, Beautiful!

Primavera Skincare is a new-to-me brand that I was excited to try out. In this post I'll show you their Balancing Gel Cleanser and their Balancing Toner. Both are great if you have oily, acne-prone or combo skin - like I do. Check out my full review on each product, including all the product info, after each set of pics.

Primavera - Balancing Gel Cleanser

Primavera Balancing Gel Cleanser Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $28.00 (3.4 fl oz full size). Available on the Primavera Skincare website and everywhere else Primavera products are sold. Click here to find a retailer near you.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

This gentle foaming gel cleanser removes dirt, makeup and excess oil, leaving skin refreshed, softened and shine-free.

Primavera's Balancing Face Care Line is all about finding the right balance. Create perfect harmony with pure plant ingredients. Their Balancing Face Care Line clarifies the complexion with a hand selected blend of purifying organic sage essential oil and nurturing organic grape seed - ideal for combination to oily skin.

Organic sage essential oil helps reduce excess oil while reviving the senses. Organic grape seed contains powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids to help maintain elasticity and control oil production. Additional skin-balancing benefits are provided by organic extracts from willow bark, licorice root, green tea and witch hazel.

This gel cleanser has a fresh organic, possibly citrus scent? I don't really mind the scent; it's very natural and organic. It has a nice gel texture that is easy to work with.

My face did feel clean after using this without being over-dry. I do have oily skin, although it's more combo at the moment, and this is a nice face cleanser to use. Someone with normal skin could use this too. I just wouldn't necessarily recommend for those with dry skin. I haven't had any negative notes about it. It's not my favorite cleanser of all time, but I certainly like to use it and would recommend if you're looking for a natural line for combo to oily skin.

This balancing toner helps regulate oil production while minimizing the pores and reducing redness.

Organic Witch Hazel Water clarifies oily skin in the t-zone while helping to reduce the appearance of pores.

This toner has a more earthy, natural scent; I didn't like it but it's not awful. Just compared to the cleanser it had a more noticeable scent. I will say that just spraying it out of the bottle wasn't as strong of a scent as it was smelling it from the bottle.

I don't really like spray toners because the way it sprays out can vary and not always be good. The way this sprays out is a mix of a fine mist and a concentrated spray; I prefer just taking off the top and using a cotton ball/cotton pad to apply this.

This is a nice toner that I feel is great for those with combo to oily skin.

Now let me know what you think...

Sophyto Daily Skin Essentials Collection

Hello, Beautiful!

Not long ago I was sent the Sophyto Daily Skin Essentials Collection to test out. I decided to try it and also have a friend try it too, so we switched off on what products each of us were using. This collection contains five deluxe sized products great for everyday use.

Sophyto Daily Skin Essentials Collection Info & Review:
Five daily skin essentials that offer healthy skin maintenance for all skin types. This kit is designed to balance skin's pH and regulate moisture content while offering anti-aging benefits through powerful bioactives derived from vitamin-enriched plant oils and fruit extracts. Use these minis as a way to try out some products from this line before committing to the full sized, or use these for travel.

I'll break it down by product now...

Purifying Silken Cleanser: Removes makeup and impurities without over drying, while conditioning agents restore and maintain skin's natural moisture balance. I liked the way this smelled and how nicely it cleaned my skin. My friend was more fond of this cleanser than I was, and since I have a lot of cleansers right now, I gave it to her to keep.

Dual Action Exfoliating Treatment: A luxurious exfoliating serum made from precious amethyst powder, barbados cherry and organic pineapple enzymes to effectively dissolve dead skin cells leaving a must brighter, more refined looking complexion. I loved this product a lot! It did everything it says and it smells good too!

pH optimizing Restorative Toner: Concentrated nourishing toner gently restores skin to its optimal pH level, improving texture and hydration. As someone who loves the way toner feels, I can say I liked this toner a lot. My friend also loved this toner and I now think she's hooked!

Anti Aging Antioxidant Serum: This award winning ultralight serum supplements skin's natural protective barrier and fights signs of premature aging with AOX-5 polyphenol compound. This serum was nice, but I ended up giving to my friend who really needed something like this in her skincare routine.

Balancing Daily Moisturizer: Exceptional high percentages of nurturing and restorative ancient herbs ease and correct the ravages of prolonged stress and compromised skin immunity. This was a nice moisturizer - not overly hydrating, but may be better used at night if you have oily skin like myself. This is another product my friend loved a lot.

Overall, this kit is a great way to try the brand, use for travel, and get better skin. Both myself and my friend really enjoyed the products in the kit, and liked the way they smelled. I'd recommend checking it out!

Ole Henriksen Apricot Cleansing Lotion Review:
Comfort your complexion with this rich and creamy cleanser that gently removes even the most stubborn makeup, dirt and grime. Loaded with nature's most precious oils, this cleanser is great for even the most sensitive skin.

I had a friend test this out, since it's best for dry and/or sensitive skin. She said the smell was great - like apricots, and it didn't feel like a cleanser at all. To her, it felt like a lotion. There weren't suds, which she prefers, so she felt as though it didn't really clean her face but it was moisturizing. She said she'd only recommend it if you're okay with no suds.

Ole Henriksen Balancing Cucumber Face Tonic

Formula: liquid
Cost/Availability: $21.00 for the 7 oz size or $30.00 for the 12 oz size. Available on the the Ole Henriksen website, and everywhere else Ole Henriksen is sold.
My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Kisses

Ole Henriksen Review:
This skin brightening toner helps calm, renew and soften with plant and herbal extracts of cucumber essence, chamomile and ginseng. Soothing and replenishing, this tonic/mist is an indispensable part of your daily routine.

I tested out this toner, because I'm one of those people who love the way a toner feels. This one was nice and refreshing - really nothing to complain about. It says it's for dry/sensitive skin, but I have oily skin and this worked for me. Maybe not my most favorite toner, but it's a nice one. Check it out if you can!

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me

Basic Stats for Ole Henriksen Nurture Me:
Formula: cream
Cost/Availability: $40.00 (1.7 oz full size). Available on the the Ole Henriksen website, Sephora's website, and everywhere else Ole Henriksen is sold.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Review:
This soothing cream cushions skin with nourishing vitamins and helps calm, protect and hydrate sensitive skin. Nourishing oils guard the skin from environmental damage by strengthening the skin's natural defenses.

I tested this product out on my husband, who has dry skin. Both he and I loved the scent... smells really great! This product is very rich and creamy, but goes on so nicely - melting into your skin. It will give your skin a lot of moisture without being too, too much. I have oily skin and just used a little around random dry spots on my face and it instantly took care of them. This was a home-run product! I'd recommend!
