Unite Moisturizing Repair Treatment - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

So far, every Unite hair care product I've tried has been a winner for me and my hair; I'm still loving their dry shampoo. The latest Unite product that I tried is their Moisturizing Repair Treatment. This thick, creamy gel-like texture deeply hydrates your hair in just 20 minutes (or less). Read my full below, including all the product info, after the pics!

Unite Moisturizing Repair Treatment

Unite Moisturizing Repair Treatment Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $29.95 (4 oz full size). Available on the Unite website and at salons. Click here to find a Unite retailer near you.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

Unite's Moisturizing Repair Treatment is for dry hair. Adds softness, shine and lots of moisture. Paraben-free. Sodium chloride free. Color-safe. Vegan. 100% Weightless. Contains a gluten-free deep penetrating moisturizer and vegetable protein blend that repairs and protects the hair and reduces breakage by up to 80%!

This moisturizing repair treatment, basically a hair mask, smells really good. I'm not good at describing scents, so I'm not even going to try, but I did like the smell. The texture is really nice too; it's a thick, creamy, gel-like consistency that easily works through your hair.

You're supposed to put this on wet hair, after you shampoo, and leave in for up to 20 minutes. I don't always have time for a 20 minute hair mask, but I will sometimes apply this to wet hair (before I even get in the shower; I just get my hair wet in my sink), and then apply this. I'll go do some work and 20 minutes later jump in the shower and rinse this out. Or, if I don't need as deep of a treatment - but I still want some help - I will get in the shower, shampoo, and apply this to my hair. Then I will do my body scrub, body wash, shave, and wash my face - and then when I'm done doing all that (usually 10 to 15 minutes), I'll wash this out.

It left my hair feeling very healthy and moisturized, and added shine. I like this treatment a lot and will continue to use it on a weekly basis, or as I feel my hair needs it. I'd recommend this for those with dry hair.

United 7Seconds Refresher Dry Shampoo - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Another dry shampoo review to share with you - this one from the brand Unite. It's their 7Seconds Refresher Dry Shampoo. This has to be one of my favorite dry shampoos to date. It works beautifully at absorbing excess oil, smells fresh, and doesn't leave my brunette hair looking gray. Read my full review, and all the product info, after the pics.

Cost/Availability: $28.75 (4 oz full size). Available on the Unite website, on Amazon, at salons, and everywhere else Unite products are sold. Click here to enter your zip code and find a salon near you that sells Unite products.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Aids in preserving hair color. Removes excess oil and increases volume. No visible powder left behind. Refreshes hair without the use of water with a clean, fresh scent.

I fell in love with this dry shampoo from the first use! I must have really oily hair or something, because most dry shampoos just don't do the job for me - especially if I try to go more than a day or two without shampooing. This dry shampoo works, and it doesn't leave my brunette hair looking gray!

The scent is nice - just a fresh, clean scent. Soaks up all the excess oil and adds volume into the hair. Long lasting results too.

I have read some reviews that say the can clogs or stopped working after a couple uses. I personally haven't had that issue yet, but just in case I'd recommend wiping the nozzle after each use with some water to help prevent any build-up that could occur. It could also just be older cans that have that issue. Like I said, I haven't had that issue but I did want to mention it.

Overall, this is one of the few dry shampoos I've tried that truly works in my hair without any negatives. A bit pricey for a dry shampoo, but it is from the brand Unite and the quality and performance makes this dry shampoo worth every penny. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't had luck with dry shampoos in the past.

UNITE Beach Day Texturizing Spray - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Back in February I shared with you two great volumizing products from the brand UNITE (their Boosta Spray and Expanda Dust - click here for that review post). In this post I have another product from UNITE, their Beach Day Texturizing Spray.

Check out my pics, stats, before & after, and review... click on pics to view them larger.

UNITE Beach Day Texturizing Spray Review:
Over the years I've tried several wave sprays, because I love the look they create, but they don't all work. UNITE's Beach Day works like a charm without leaving my hair crunchy.

Simply spray on your hair, holding the bottle about 6 to 8 inches away. Then scrunch with your fingers and allow to air-dry. You can also use a blowdryer with a diffuser attachment. You can even spray on your roots for an added lift.

It gave my hair subtle beachy waves without making my hair crunchy or dry. It didn't stay wavy all day, but a few sprays to refresh my style and I was good to go. I will say I didn't like the smell; it just wasn't my cup of tea but it's not a bad smell.

I rated this a 4 out of 5 Kisses because it's a good spray, better than average, but not the best I've tried for my hair. However, I did have a friend test it and her hair turned out much more wavy than mine (and the style lasted longer in her hair than it did in mine), and she rated it a 5 out of 5 Kisses!

I'd recommend checking this out if you're into the beachy wave hair style.

Unite Boosta Spray & Unite Expanda Dust Volumizing Powder -- pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I have long, fine, limp hair. Volumizing products are the #1 hair styling product I purchase, and my hair product shelves are full of volumizing products... some that work and a lot that don't. When I came across the Unite brand I wasn't sure what to expect. When testing I had little expectations because my hair rarely will react to a volumizing product, or if it does, it only reacts for a few minutes than falls flat. That's why I was surprised to have great results with the first use of each of these Unite products. I decided to test it out another two weeks before I wrote up a review to make sure it continued to work for me. And guess what? It did!

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review...

Unite Boosta Spray and Unite Expanda Dust Volumizing Powder Review:
I can use either the Unite Boosta Spray or the Unite Expanda Dust and get great volume in my hair that lasts all day. Or, I can use both and get a mega dose of volume!

The first product I tried was the Unite Expanda Dust. I tried it on my 2nd day hair, which is at its limpest. As you can see in my before/after photo, I got instant volume! I have to say that in person my hair had even more volume. I couldn't get the right angle with the camera to show how amazing it worked! I was really impressed, but realized if you use too much it can leave behind some white residue. Don't worry, it's easy to fix; just keep working it in and if you really over-do it then you'll learn for next time that you only need a little bit to get mega volume.

The Expanda Dust bottle feels empty when you receive it; the powder is just that light weight! It is slightly sticky on your hands, but doesn't feel that way in your hair after it sets.

The next morning I tried the Unite Boost Spray after my shower and was again impressed with the results. My hair not only looked like it have more volume, but it felt thicker too. By the end of the day my hair still looked great.

The following day after my shower I used the Unite Boosta Spray and then once my hair was dry, I used the Unite Expanda Dust and WOW... I felt like I had someone else's hair because my hair never has volume like that!

Of course with any hair product, especially volumizing products, it may not work for everyone. However, I can say if a product works on my hair then it has a really good chance of working on a lot of other people's hair too.

Overall, YES, I recommend both these products! The Unite brand itself is a brand I'm new to, but really looking forward to trying more products in the future since I was so impressed with these two.
