Snowberry Soothing Facial Massage Oil - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Over the summer I tried out the Snowberry Soothing Facial Massage Oil and thought I'd go ahead and make a review on it, because I think this is a great product now that we're moving into the fall and winter months. This massage oil does a great job at softening and hydrating skin, while its anti-inflammatory properties help to calm down any puffiness. Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics!

Snowberry Soothing Facial Massage Oil Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $32.00 (1 fl oz full size). Available on the Snowberry website, at Dermstore, at BeautyBar.com, and everywhere else Snowberry skincare products are sold.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Regular facial massage is a very important part of a good skin care and beauty regime. The Snowberry Soothing Facial Massage Oil is a superb blend of Azulene (the Chamomile extract that gives the oil its beautiful color), Inca Inchi, Passion Flower, and Rose Hip Oils that together provide anti-inflammatory properties as well as a rich complex of omega fatty acids and vitamin C.

Pomegranate oil extract is a powerful anti-oxidant and Bisabolol and Ginger Extract boosts the oil's anti-irritancy properties. Total refreshment for the skin! The oil is an ideal top-up natural moisturizer throughout the day and is especially suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

To use this, just gently massage the oil into the face and neck and if necessary, pat dry with a tissue.

This product has a light blue color and an earthy scent - which I actually didn't like. The scent is really just not a good match for my nose, but other people don't seem to mind it as much as I do.

The product, however, is very moisturizing. It absorbs easily onto the face too - sort of the way a serum absorbs, but it doesn't absorb so quickly that you don't have time to massage your face, which is the point of this product.

Even though this is really great for those with dry skin, I also feel its great for those with oily/acne prone skin too. I will say that over the summer my skin tends to be more oily, but now it's more combo normal/dry. In the summer I didn't use this all that often just because of how hydrating it is. If you do have oily skin I'd recommend using it as a nighttime treatment, and maybe using it just once or twice a week. Another good tip is if you have acne prone skin you could use this to help soothe and moisturize your dry patches - because sometime acne-healing products can dry out certain areas of your skin. The anti-inflammatory properties in this oil really help with acne that is inflamed, while softening your dry areas.

Now that my skin is more combo normal to dry I find that it's great to soften and hydrate my skin. I don't use this all the time; this is more of a treatment product for me rather than a daily use type product, only because the scent throws me off. But if you're looking for a different way to hydrate your skin, this is it!

L'Occitane Lavender Body and Massage Gel - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I love L'Occitane products; their almond line of products are some of my favorite body care products of all time. I recently tried out their Lavender Body and Massage Gel - which feels really great going onto the skin, doesn't feel greasy and the scent is light and relaxing. Check out my full review below.

This rich and smooth Lavender Massage Gel envelops the body with a soft, relaxing, aromatic scent. Its mild and gentle formula can be used every day to help nourish and soften the skin. It also makes for an excellent massage application, for delicious moments of pure relaxation.

I really liked the textured of this; very lightweight and smooth. It was non-sticky and non-greasy, which was great for massaging onto the skin. I will say that it absorbed into my skin faster than other massage products I've used, but it didn't leave any greasy feeling behind and my skin felt very soft after using this.

I think this is a nice massage product - for me, maybe not for everyday use or long, intense massages - but definitely one I enjoy reaching for. If you like lavender scents you will love this one and I suggest giving it a try.

Marj's Naturals - Massage Bar in Vanilla: pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

The sweet Marjorie from Marj's Naturals sent me her Massage Bar in Vanilla as a thank-you for hosting my recent Marj's Naturals giveaway. It was so sweet of her and even though I had no obligation to blog about this product, I wanted to. I like the smell and this product just melts into your skin so beautifully! Plus, how cute is the packaging?!

Another way to sooth tired mind and body is to have your sweetie massage or rub areas of your muscles that need some attention with these comforting massage bars. Their aromatic scent will calm your senses and the moisturizing and emollient properties of the oils and butters will soften your skin. No sweetie? No problem! Use these bars as an all over moisturizer right after bath or shower for supreme silky softness and suppleness.

Made with cocoa butter, shea butter, grapeseed butter, organic VCO & essential oils. She makes these when you order to ensure long lasting freshness! Just be sure to store these in a cool dry place.

These massage bars come in a fancy round fuchsia reusable/recyclable gift box to protect the product.

IDEA: Store one in the fridge for the warmer summer months coming up, then use it outdoors. It will still melt into your skin but because it will be cold it will feel refreshing in the hot weather. Keep in mind it may take some time to melt depending on how long you had it in the fridge and how warm it is outside.

I liked the smell, but can you really go wrong with Vanilla? I think it's a nice uni-sex scent. She also offers this in Lavender and Bulgarian Rose Absol. Vanilla would definitely be my scent of choice from those three - what would you choose?

I had this tested on myself and I tested it on someone else. It melts so nicely so you only need to use it for a little, then use your hands to rub the rest in. It's easy to use too much because you really need very little to make this work, so if you do end up using too much just take a damp towel and remove any excess that doesn't absorb into skin.

My skin definitely felt soft and supple after use, and my muscles relaxed (although I think that has more to do with the person massaging me than it does with the product, lol). I have used this several times and the bar still has a lot of product left. This is a product I'd recommend picking up for yourself and for gifts too. This is a perfect add-in to a bachelorette/bridal shower gift, or someone who may be in physical therapy and gets massages/needs massages, to new moms (as a reminder they need to take time to relax), and just anyone really who enjoys getting massages or giving massages! It's affordable, comes in really cute packaging (making it perfectly giftable as is), and works as it should. I'd recommend!
