Tat2U - Brow Pow! 4 shades - pics & swatches of all 4 shades, plus before & after pics

Hello, Beautiful!

If there is one product I use every single day without hesitation, it's something for my brows. I have sparse, thin brows which don't want to grow where I need them to (but will grow hair everywhere I don't want hair to grow), so I fill in my brows daily. I have an entire drawer dedicated to brow products, and it's hard to find ones that are both a perfect color match and have good staying power. Brow powders are probably my favorite, quick brow product because they are so simple and easy to use.

I recently tried out the Tat2U Brow Pow, which I now have in 4 shades: Blonde, Brownstone, Muddled and Java. Two shades worked for me and two did not, but I have pics and swatches of them all to help you find a shade that will match. Check out my full review after the pics!

My Review...

This brow powder is super easy to use, nicely pigmentation, easy to blend, effective, and long-lasting.

There are six shades in the line; I have all except Red Head (an auburn shade) and Smolder (a charcoal shade). Hopefully my swatch photos are helpful enough for you to decide which shade would be best for you. Red Head would obviously be suited for those that are in deed a red head or more auburn in color. Smolder would be best for those with black hair, but maybe also if you have dark gray hair. Without seeing them in person, or knowing what you prefer for your brows, I can't really speak on those two shades --- but I can give opinions on the other four shades in the line.

Out of the four shades of Brow Pow, I use shades Muddled and Java the most. Brownstone was too red in tone, even though I originally thought it would be a perfect match. In photos, Brownstone looks even more red in tone than in does in person because of the way my studio lights show every detail - but in real life it's not as red in tone (it would just look less natural on me, but I could wear it). Blonde was way too light; it hardly shows up but sometimes I like to use a taupe or blonde shade to lightly fill in my brows in combination with another brow shade/product. For this blonde, it is a bit too light for me to use all over on its own because my brows are just too sparse. I think it would be great for those that are blonde or even gray, because this would be light enough for you.

Shades Muddled and Java are better matches for me. Java is on the darker side, but used with a light hand and good blending, it's a great match for me. Where as Muddled is more the one I reach for on the daily, and what I almost always reach for when I'm in a hurry because it looks good and is the quickest for me to use without having to really think about it.

My personal issue with the Tat2U Brow Pow was finding a perfect color match - but I find that to be true with a lot of brow products. As a brunette, and let me know if you have this issue too, I find that a lot of brunette shades run more red in tone. While that may work for many, it doesn't work for me. I need an ashy tone, and I actually think a natural looking brow has a more ashy tone to it (unless of course you have red tones to your hair). That's really difficult to find, and while I have several brow products in my collection that I enjoy using, I only have one that is a perfect match (the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash). The Tat2U Brow Pow shades in Muddled and Java still aren't that perfect ashy undertone, but they both work well enough for my brow color that I can use them. Sometimes I use both together - Muddled more on the inner half and Java more on the outer half. Just depends on what kind of brow look I'm going for.

I will say the price point is a bit on the high end; it's $19 - which ranks up there with brands you could find at Sephora. I will say, however, that I do think this brow powder is a good quality. I could easily see myself choosing to repurchase the Tat2U Brow Pow over my Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Powder - which is $25 and didn't impress me near as much as the Tat2U Brow Pow did. But do I wish this was a lower cost brow powder? Of course I do, but just keep an eye out for sales and coupon codes if you don't want to splurge the $19 on a brow powder.

Tat2U - 2 Cover U Extreme Cover Cream: before & after, pics, swatches, review!

Hello, Beautiful!

I have yet another great product from Tat2U to share with you today! In this post I'll talk about their 2 Cover U Extreme Cover Cream. I have three shades: Light Beige, Medium Beige and the Tat2U Blue Neutralizer. I use all three shades and I'll explain how I use them in my review below. These creamy concealers are great for hiding dark under eye circles, blemishes, hyper pigmentation, and even tattoos. Check out all the product info, along with my full review, after the pics!

As you can sell below, this was my first attempt to cover a tattoo. I wasn't precise or careful, and I didn't allow layers to fully set/dry in between, so if I had taken my time and done this properly it would have covered it flawlessly. I also didn't even try to blend it out into the rest of my skin, but I still wanted to post this so you could see that it can cover a tattoo. More details about this in my review below.

My Review...

I'll be honest and say when I first opened these and looked at them, I didn't think they'd be very creamy. If you look at the pictures they kind of looked dried out, with slight cracks in product. But I was very pleasantly surprised when I rubbed my finger across them to find they were extremely creamy and not even close to being dried out!

I have three shades: Light Beige, Medium Beige and Tat2U Blue Neutralizer. I use all three shades for different reasons.

The Light Beige shade is actually my preferred shade for under my eyes to conceal and brighten. It's a little on the light side to conceal imperfections on my face, so that's where I use Medium Beige. I sometimes will even mix Light Beige and Medium Beige together.

The shade Tat2U Blue Neutralizer is a great first step to conceal those dark, purple/blue under eye circles! It makes an excellent neutralizer and then you can apply your regular concealer on top and you'll look flawless. For my before & after pic of my under eye, I didn't use the Tat2U Blue Neutralizer only because I wanted to show how well the Light Beige covered on its own. If you like the effect that Benefit's Erase Paste has to help conceal your dark circles, but hate the Erase Paste formula, then the Tat2U Blue Neutralizer is a great option to look into. I actually lost my Benefit Erase Paste (which was one of the only products to help neutralize my dark circles) so when I got the Tat2U Blue Neutralizer I was happy to find it works just as well, if not better (and the formulation is thinner and easier to blend compared to the Benefit Erase Paste).

I do find that the shade jump from Light Beige to Medium Beige is a big intense. There is no shade in between and I find that Medium Beige was too dark for me, but as I'm getting more of a tan it's working out well on its own. That's another reason I mixed Light Beige and Medium Beige; just so I could get a perfect match for my skin to cover blemishes and hyper pigmentation marks.

I have problems with cream products never setting up on my face, but what I really like about this product is how quickly it dries down. It dries down to an almost powder-like finish, not tacky or sticky. Of course I still set it under my eyes, but I wouldn't really need to with this one.

As for covering tattoos, you can see my semi-failed first attempt to cover one of my tattoos. I really wasn't trying to be careful or precise, and I didn't allow layers to fully dry/set, so I think that's why it didn't cover as well as I know it can. With correct application, this concealer cream can cover a tattoo. I'll have to post some photos in the future on my Instagram showing how well it can cover them.

For those wanting to know what I did for that tattoo cover up, I first used the Tat2U Blue Neutralizer, then set it with a power. I just used the Coty Airspun Loose Powder. Then I applied the Medium Beige shade, and set that with a powder. I did a second layer of Medium Beige and another layer of powder.

Final Thoughts...

This is a great concealer cream that will cover dark circles, blemishes, hyper pigmentation and other flaws you may have. It's also powerful enough to cover tattoos. If you're looking for that kind of coverage from a concealer, then I recommend checking out the Tat2U 2 Cover U Extreme Cover Cream.
