Pure Fiji Coconut Body Butter & Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion - pics, swatches, reviews

Hello, Beautiful!

I have two more travel sized products from Pure Fiji to share with you in this post, one is their Coconut Body Butter and the other is their Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion. I LOVE coconut scents, and these were a home run! I'd say the only difference between them is the body butter is thicker and more moisturizing. Check out all the product info, along with my full review on each, after the pics!

Pure Fiji - Coconut Body Butter

Pure Fiji Body Butter Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $36.00 (8 oz full size). Available on the Pure Fiji website, at Dermstore, and everywhere else Pure Fiji products are sold. Click here to find a retailer near you.

Product Info...

This super moisturizing cream will instantly revive dry skin. A unique blend of exotic nut extracts rapidly hydrates skin and locks in moisture to keep your skin perfectly hydrated and nourished. Soy proteins provide an added benefit, setting in motion firming processes to reduce the appearance of fine lines - while passionflower gently soothes and calms stressed skin. An excellent cream indulgence all year round -- especially great on knees, elbows, feet and heels.

Available in 11 scents: Coconut, Mango, Gingerlilly, Pineapple, Passionflower, Starfruit, Fangipani, Coconut Milk & Honey, Island Bliss, Orange Blossom and Guava.

Key Ingredients: cold pressed virgin coconut oil and exotic nut extracts, milk proteins, soy and passionflower.

TIP: An exceptionally nourishing indulgence for hands and feet. Also an excellent cream to help prevent stretchmarks during pregnancy.

TIP: Apply to feet and hands at night and cover with socks/gloves. Wake up to wonderfully soft and hydrated skin!

My Review...

This body butter is extremely creamy, smooth and very moisturizing. It does an amazing job at instantly hydrating your skin, especially those rougher areas like your knees and elbows.

The smell can't be beat if you like coconut scents! It smells so yummy! And even though it is a body butter, meaning it's thicker than a typical lotion, it still absorbed into my skin beautifully.

This is just a travel size, at 2oz, but it lasted me awhile. In fact, I still have some left because I don't use it everyday (as a beauty blogger you can imagine my hoard of body butters and lotions), but you also don't need very much to get the job done. Even though the full sized is $36, it's something that would last quite awhile, seeing as how this little 2 oz size has lasted me so long.

Final Thoughts...

If you love body butters and coconut scents, then this is a luxury body butter you'll want to try out. It smells yummy and feels great on the skin! Hydrates beautifully too. Of course if you don't like coconut scents you can check out one of their 11 island inspired scents!

My Review...

This is a lighter, thinner version of their body butter - at least that's how I view it. It absorbs really easily into my skin, and still hydrates really good. If you have normal to oily skin I'd say to go with the Body Lotion; if you have normal to dry skin, then go with the Body Butter.

This mini, also 2 oz, went very quickly. I had two of these mini's actually and kept one in my purse at all times. I used it a lot, especially because I have a full tattoo sleeve on my right arm and I like I keep it hydrated at all times (because every single day someone stops me to look at it and I don't want to have dry, ashy arms, lol). This lotion went fast because of that, but I loved the scent and feel so I didn't mind.

It's something I think in the full sized I'd enjoy using, but I do think I'd use it up fast --- maybe I used this up fast also because I just loved it that much! But I do feel the body butter version lasts longer. I just think it may be too moisturizing for me in the summer, so I'll probably stick to the body lotion in the summer.

Final Thoughts...

If you'd like a luxury lightweight, yet hydrating, coconut scented body lotion then this is the one for you! Of course if you don't like coconut scents you can check out one of their 11 island inspired scents!

My Review...

I really loved these body scrubs! I have a body scrub obsession; if you search for body scrubs on my blog you'll see many, many reviews. I really can't get enough of them! I've tried a range of body scrubs from drugstore to indie brands to high-end, and I really did love the Pure Fiji Coconut Sugar Rub! It stood out from other scrubs I've used, mostly for the scent, but it did a great job at exfoliating too.

I only have the travel size versions, which are 2 oz each, so I did use them sparingly - which is why it took me awhile to use them up, because I loved them so much that I'd use them and then not want to use them again because I didn't want to run out! The full sized version is a bit pricey at $44 for 15.5 oz. They do say you get 15 to 18 uses from a full sized jar, but that's still about $2.50 to $3.00 each time you use it. For me, this is definitely a luxury product.

I have two scents, Coconut and Mango. They both smell really good. If you love tropical scents that are true tropical scents - not that artificial smell or sunscreen smell - then you'd really love the Pure Fiji line of scents.

I did notice that the Coconut one was a bit drier in texture at the top, it seemed like the oils had sunk to the bottom. Where as the Mango one was evenly distributed and looked wetter. You can see what I'm talking about in the photos. However, you can easily incorporate the oils into the sugar, so that wasn't a big issue to me - as I've found this is something that happens with several body scrubs.

Final Thoughts...

Pure Fiji is a luxury brand, and if you're okay with the $44 price tag for a body scrub, then I would absolutely recommend this one. It feels great, smells wonderful, and leaves your skin soft and smooth! They do sell travel kits on their website, and some do (or at least did) include the mini sizes of this scrub, along with other products, so that may be a way to try out a few products from the line before committing to the full size.

Pure Fiji Coconut Milk Shampoo & Coconut Creme Conditioner Review:
Coconut is one of my favorite scents, and I was excited to try a higher end coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. They each have a nice coconut scent in the bottle -- it's light and not over powering. Weirdly though, in the shower, they smell like a mix of coconut and Scrubbing Bubbles (cleaner). Maybe my nose is just weird, but that's what my nose told my brain, lol. However, it's not bad at all - I don't want you to get the impression that it smells terrible, because you'll still smell coconut. And afterwards your hair will have a hint of coconut scent, which is lovely. I asked a friend what they thought it smelled like in the shower and they just said "coconut", so maybe I'm just the weird one or maybe my nose is off from being sick for so many weeks, lol.

This Coconut Milk Shampoo & Coconut Creme Conditioner are available in other scents other than Coconut. Also available in Pineapple, Passionflower, Starfruit, Mango, and Coconut Milk & Honey.

I will say that this shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel really soft and moisturized, even a bit silky. It doesn't add any volume (and doesn't claim to), but it did make my hair bouncier and shiny. I liked the way these two worked with my hair.

I also loved the packaging. This may be a small thing, but it was something I really appreciated.... the bottles have this button that you push, and when you push the button the top will pop open for you. Easy to open and a small extra that makes these two stand out to me a bit more because of their packaging.

Overall, I liked these a lot and although they're not in the drugstore price range I do think they'll a nice luxury shampoo and conditioner that is worth checking out!
