Mahya Mineral Makeup Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow; shades: True Love, Deep Sea, Secret Love -- swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I recently discovered the Mahya Mineral Makeup brand; I have a few products to share with you over the next couple of weeks (their Glimmering Mineral Eye Shadows, Mineral Foundation, Mineral Concealer, Mineral Blush, and Mineral Highlighter/Bronzer). In this post I'll share with you the Mahya Mineral Makeup Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow. I have three shades: True Love, Deep Sea, and Secret Love. They apply beautifully dry or wet; of course applying them wet provides a more intense color payoff.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review...

Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow
Shade: True Love
Shade Description: A shimmering blue-gray. The blue tones really come out when swatched wet. Really pretty on my brown eyes.

Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow
Shade: Deep Sea
Shade Description: A beautiful metallic-like blue teal. When swatched over primer this shade looks more green-blue. Swatched dry, wet, or over primer, it doesn't matter to me - this is a beautiful shade; mermaid-like.

Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow
Shade: Secret Love
Shade Description: This dusty purple. I do have to say that this swatched a bit odd on me; in some of the photos you may notice a yellow or olive tone to it, which happened when blended out a bit. This was only  noticeable when I apply this shadow dry. I've applied this wet and really like the color that way.

Mahya Mineral Makeup Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow PRO's & CON's:
PRO's: wonderful color selection, applies nicely, multi-use (can use as shadow, liner, on lips, and even as nail polish)
CON's: even though it's still an affordable product (especially during sales and with coupons), some may feel it's a little pricier than other mineral shadows for the amount of product you receive

Basic stats for Mahya Mineral Makeup Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow:
Formula: loose pigment shadow
Coverage: buildable
Wear: average to above average
Shade Info: Currently an amazing 51 shades just in their Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow line.
Cost/Availability: $9.99 (0.052 oz full size). Available on the Mahya Mineral Makeup website.
Packaging: round jar; twist-off lid; sifter
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Loose pigment eye shadow, which you can use in other ways. Besides using these as eye shadows, you can use them as eye liner, with lip gloss, and even with nail polish. Easy to blend and really pretty shades.

These have really nice pigmentation, especially when applied wet. Of course they offer buildable coverage so you can wear them on the sheer/light side, or apply them wet for full-color.

Average to above average wear, depending on your eye lids. I had no issues with these lasting through a normal day without primer. I usually apply an eye primer first though.

Shade Info:
On the Mahya Mineral Makeup website there are currently 51 shades of Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow. I have three shades (True Love, Deep Sea, Secret Love) but have others on my wish list. My wish list from their Lustrous line of mineral shadows include: Cleopatra, Cow Girl, Dolphin, Golden Light, Hip Hop, Lapis, Mermaid, Vamp, and Veronica.

$9.99 (0.052 oz full size). Available on the Mahya Mineral Makeup website.

Round jar with twist-off lid and sifter. If you prefer to remove the sifter you certainly can (I often remove sifters because I like to directly dip into the shadow without tapping out the product).

Mahya Mineral Makeup Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadow Review:
I think these Lustrous Mineral Eye Shadows are fantastic. They are prettier in person than they appear in the photos; trust me on that. They apply nicely and last all day on me. Applying them wet will give the most color pay off.

True Love is really pretty on my eyes; it has just enough blue in the gray to bring out my brown eyes in a beautiful way. I'll have to do an eye look using True Love so you can see how pretty it is on brown eyes. The shade Deep Sea is just so pretty; I just love looking at it, lol. It too looks great on. I don't wear this all over my lid but usually on the mid to outer corner for a pretty pop of color. The shade Secret Love is pretty when applied wet, but I'm not a huge fan of it when applied dry because it can sometimes give off a yellow or olive undertone. But it is a pretty dusty purple that looks great on my brown eyes!

I haven't attempted to use these shadows in other ways (like lip gloss and nail polish), but I may try it out in the future when my creativity sparks.

Overall, yes, I would absolutely recommend these!
