L'Oreal Colour Riche Le Gloss - Really Rose, Saucy Mauve, Nude Touch - swatches & review

Hello, Beautiful!

I am a gloss addict... and the more shiny, glossy and sparkly they are the better! I knew I had to try the new L'Oreal Colour Riche Le Gloss glosses after I saw an add in a magazine where the lips looked super shiny. When I finally made it to Wal-Mart several shades were already sold out, one of which I wanted to try (Watermelon Crush). It was after 11pm when I finally found time/energy to leave the house, so I couldn't go to Target to find other shades. Still, I found three shades that I really liked at the store -- Really Rose, Saucy Mauve, and Nude Touch. I tried to only pick two shades but I really couldn't; they're just too pretty! If Watermelon Crush would have been there I probably would have bought that one too. I'm a sucker for glosses. Anyhow...

Check out my pics, swatches, stats and review...

First, I'll show you all three shades together...

Now let's see each shade individually...

Basic stats for L'Oreal Colour Riche Le Gloss:
Formula: non-sticky liquid gloss
Coverage: medium-full color
Wear: average
Shade Range: available in 16 shades
Container: a squeeze tube, twist-off cap, slant tip applicator
Cost: $6 to $8 depending where you shop
Availability: find at Wal-Mart, Target, KMart and anywhere else L'Oreal is sold
My Rating: 5 out 5 kisses!

Formula:
This is a non-sticky gloss that is hydrating to your lips; very shiny! Infused with ultra hydrating Omega 3, protective Vitamin E, and Aragon Oil for a high-shine.

Coverage:
These glosses provide very nice color - a good medium to full color gloss! Of course you can wear them sheerer if you use less, but you'll get really pretty color from these with high-shine!

Wear:
Glosses don't last long, unless they are a long wear formula and even then they don't last that long. It's just the life cycle of a gloss. That's why these have an average gloss life. They'll stick around for longer than some glosses, but certainly not as long as a lipstick.

Shade Range:
Available in 16 shades, according to L'Oreal's website. The shade swatches on their website are really different from what the colors look like in person, so please beware and don't choose a shade based on their shade pics.

Container:
This gloss comes in a squeeze tube with a slant-tip applicator; twist-off cap.

Cost/Availability:
L'Oreal's website gives this gloss a manufacture suggested retail price of $7.95, but I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $5.97 each.

Review:
I really like these glosses because of the high-shine factor, and the shade Saucy Mauve has such beautiful sparkle!!

They have a vanilla frosting/cupcake smell to them, which isn't awful but if you don't like that type of gloss smell then you won't like these at all.

The glosses are non-sticky and look really pretty on your lips; very rich looking like a great lipstick with a clear gloss on top. They're not sheer or thin, but they're not thick either. It's hard to describe.

I'd say these glosses are perfect for everyday use but also special enough for a night out on the town or to a special occasion. If you're not a lipstick girl but like the look of lipstick but crave the shine of a gloss, then you may have found a perfect match with the Le Gloss glosses!

I highly recommend!

Now let me know what you think...
Do you own one of these glosses? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, is this a gloss you'd want to own? If so, what shade do you like best?

  1. I have Watermelon Crush and it's gorgeous in the tube, but pretty sheer on the lips. However, I still love it and wear it often! Thanks for the swatches! :)
