Butter London: No More Waity, Katie -- swatches, pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I've wanted Butter London's No More Waity Katie for a long time now. The swatches online looked pretty and every time I went to Ulta the shade was sold out. My husband - who I should start calling my partner-in-nail-polish-hunting - stopped by Ulta to try and find me a different polish I really want (Orly - Fowl Play), and found Butter London's No More Waity Katie. I was excited that he got it for me and couldn't wait to wear it... that is until I actually put it on!

It looked so pretty in the bottle and swatched okay on my nail wheel, although the first coat was terrible but the second coat evened it out. However, when I went to apply it to my nails it was just awful. The first coat went on so terribly I thought it was a joke... I mean, seriously, it goes on so streaky. Some of my nails looked worse than others -- some very clumpy. I should have taken a photo but I honestly thought a second coat would even it out. A second coat certainly did help but it didn't look all that wonderful so I did a third coat.

This shade looks fine in the photos, especially with the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (which makes any polish look better), but I have to say I am extremely disappointed in this polish. I know Butter London to make wonderful polishes so this is just... well... a total fail. The color is great... the formula is horrible. I'll have to work with it some more before I swear off wearing it, but I am really disappointed with the formula so far.

Do you own this polish? If not, is this polish on your wish list? Discuss below in the comments or send me an email with your questions/comments. I'm curious to hear what others think of the formula on this shade.

  3. I agree, my husband rocks when it comes to helping me with my nail polish obsession! I'm very lucky to have such an understanding man because I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there that think us nail polish and makeup obsessed women are absolutely crazy, haha! Although, my husband still thinks I'm crazy :)

  5. I've experienced the exact same problem. Horrible formula!! And that was a real disappointment since I've been wanting to have this polish for months. So excited when I finally got my hands on it and tried it as soon as I had the chance. I thought I might have had a bad bottle or something, but now I read I'm not alone... Still love the color though. Will try some thinner before I sell/swap it
