With 16 trio's to choose from, you're sure to find a combo that fits your style. For a can't-go-wrong neutral palette, try Screen Shot, which is what I'll be showing in this blog post.

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio Review:
There really isn't a single bad thing I can say about this eyeshadow trio or the Photo Op shadow formula. I know some of you may be saying "c'mon, it can't be all sunshine, rainbows and puppy dogs?!", but it truly is; at least to me it is!
The shade Screen Shot is a great neutral combo. Nectar is a beautiful champagne-peach with subtle shimmer; which brightens my eyes. Cinnamon Toast is a beautiful cinnamon/bronzy brown, beautiful on its own or layered over a darker shade. The name, Cinnamon Toast, is great for this shade because that's what it reminds me of for some reason (the cereal Cinnamon Toast). Roast is a gorgeous dark chocolate brown with subtle golden shimmer flecks. Overall, this neutral trio makes brown shades seem pretty again -- at least for me. I personally don't like wearing a lot of browns because my eyes are brown and it can make me look tired or washed out but not with this trio. Roast makes a beautiful smokey liner shade for a soft, sexy neutral look.
Whether you like this shade trio or not, I highly recommend this eye shadow formula. With 16 shade trios to choose from I'm sure you'll find a combo that you like the most.

there are so pretty neutral shades in this palette. These shades remind me bit wet n wild Walking on Eggshells trio.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very palette Love Love all those colors.

I love neutrals
ReplyDeleteI saw this at Ulta the other day and fell in love with Roast. Unfortunately the lightest color in the trio looks ashy on me and the other color isn't very different from other colors I have. I'm trying to find a dupe for Roast. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.
ReplyDeleteGreat review though this is definitely a standout trio.
@ savvy9: I quickly looked through most of my shadows to see if I could find a dupe for Roast but I didn't have much luck. I did find two options that are close...
ReplyDeleteRevlon's ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Palette in Neutral (which right now is 75% off at CVS) has a shade (the darkest) that is close to Roast but not as shimmery with the golden undertones.
The Wet n Wild Color Icon Shadow Palette in Vanity (which right now is 50% off at CVS) has two shades that may combine to make a shade close to Roast. The two darkest shades, one a matte dark brown and the other a dark chocolate shimmer, can be layered to make something similar.
I didn't do a thorough look through my collection though, so there could be another match. Hopefully another readers can chime in with a helpful dupe. Roast is a really pretty brown and I don't generally like browns, but this trio of neutral is really pretty. Sorry the lights color looks too ashy on you; hopefully you can find another option!
