Battle of the Multi-Colored Glitters 3.0 - a detailed comparison of 15 polishes! (pic heavy)

Hello, Beautiful!

This is the third post comparing multi-colored glitters. The first was back in April and only compared four polishes. The second was back in July and compared seven polishes. Now I have 15 different multi-colored glitter polishes to share with you. I know there are more out there, believe me I know, but my obsession for collection multi-colored glitters has somewhat faded. I still love them, but I don't hunt them down anymore. Enjoy my comparison. I should mention I forgot to photograph the bottles; I'll have to do that at some point and update this post with bottle pics.

Don't forget to click on the pics to view them larger. Enjoy!

  1. I love when I see a post like this, decide I'm lemming 8, 10, and 13, and then look at the key and realize I have all three! Haha!

  2. I've personally been noticing that a lot of nail polish brands seem to love mixing random colors of glitter and sticking them in a bottle especially the above color scheme. I've seen it everywhere, I own number 14 a party of 5 glitters by wet n' wild which is more of an accent glitter and it's very liquidy. Nice collection of these glitters, I've never seen so many of them together in one place~

  3. OMG this is the Paradise of glitter!!! I love glittery nails and I'm so jealous of your collection lol! But I have to admit that a lot of them looks very similar...

  4. wow! Great post! Thanks for this comparison post.
From your swatches I like most Stila Confetti, Milani Gems and Confetti Tazmanian Devil.

  5. Wow, great post and comparisons, amazing how many similar ones there are out there, which is the cheapest and most expensive?

  6. @ Maria: I do the same thing! I'll see a polish comparison and I'll like a certain one thinking I'll add it to my wish list, then I look again and realize I already have it! At least you have the three that you liked the most :)

@ LemonberryLulu: I agree; it seemed that Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday (the original) was the only multi-colored glitter on the market for the longest time. Then other companies caught on to the face that it was a best seller and produced their own.

@ Molkinaify: Some do look identical; OPI's Rainbow Connection and Nicole by OPI's Rainbow In The S-Kylie are pretty much the exact same polish put into two different polish bottles. While the Snowman polish and the odd brand Destined seem to be identical too (maybe Destined has slightly more bulk to its glitter).

@ jazzqueen64: The most expensive is Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday (original & new). As for the cheapest, that pretty much has a three way tie with the brands Confetti, Kleancolor, and Snowman polish -- all of which I believe I paid $1.99 each.

  13. Oh my gosh, I have all of them except Destined and Stila... and I have a few that you don't. Safe to say, we're rainbow glitter addicts ;) Great post!

  14. I'm loving the Claire's version and am wearing it right now over a bright neon pink (reminds me of cupcakes). Not only does it have the larger hex, it has the tiny blue glitter. Not to mention the price point is excellent. If I'm going to get a novelty polish like this, I'm going to go with a cheaper one.

  15. Wow!!! Bravo, what a comparison post!!

I have Happy Birthday (not sure which version(s)), Rainbow Connection and Party of Five. W&W Correction Tape is another good one to have, different from PoF (just enough).

It is kinda crazy how many dupes are out there, and the fact I have 5 bottles of practically the same glitter LOL. I got Happy Birthday--my first DL, and then I got the Party set, so another HB plus the pink and black versions.

Thanks for doing the rundown! Great photos!!

  16. @ The Crafty Angel: The way you'll know if you have the original Happy Birthday is if you have square glitter instead of all hex glitter. I got the second bottle in an HSN Deborah Lippmann set and didn't even think it would be different until I saw others complaining that it had changed. I went to check mine and sure enough, no square glitter! At least I have one bottle of the original.
