Milani Eye Tech Mini & Eye Tech Angle - pics, swatches, reviews

Hello, Beautiful!

Milani has come out with two limited edition liquid eye liners: Eye Tech Mini and Eye Tech Angle. I'm not really sure why they'd make these limited edition, as both shades are black and I think both versions would be great in their core line. Check out my full review on each version, as well as all the product info, after each set of pics!

Milani Limited Edition
Eye Tech Mini & Eye Tech Angle

Milani Limited Edition Eye Tech Mini
Shade: 06 Black

Milani Limited Edition Eye Tech Mini Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $7.49 (0.033 oz full size). Available on the Milani Cosmetics website, at CVS, and everywhere else Milani Cosmetics products are sold.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

A new limited edition liquid eyeliner to the Milani Eye Tech family; Eye Tech Mini is a multipurpose mini felt-tip point that can be used to dot between lashes for an appearance of fuller, flirtier lashes. Or create very precise lines. Waterproof, long-wearing and paraben-free.

Out of the two - Eye Tech Mini and Eye Tech Angle - I prefer the mini. I just like the size of the tip better and the control. Would recommend to those that like a thin line!

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

A new limited edition liquid eyeliner to the Milani Eye Tech family; Eye Tech Angle is a 2-in-1 angle felt-tip point that can create a thin precise line or a dramatic cat-eye. Waterproof, long-wearing and paraben-free.

Out of the two - Eye Tech Mini and Eye Tech Angle - I prefer the mini. However, the Angle version seemed to be slightly more pigmented -- just ever so slightly more. I'm not really a thick-liner fan, so I'd use this in the thinnest way possible for my person taste, but it is a great option for those that like a more dramatic eye.

Now let me know what you think...

  1. Thank you so much for your review! For future product reviews, could you please perhaps test the product a bit more? You could do a dry smudge test(with before and after picture) to see how smudge-proof it really is and to what extent(a little bit of rubbing-proof, a lot of rubbing-proof). You could also do a water test; letting the eyeliner(or whatever) set, you could sprinkle a few drops of water and photograph before and after pictures for evidence of running. You could also do a wet rub test, wetting the eyeliner and rubbing to see if it fades, flakes, or smears. You could also do an oil-proof test to see if it's resistant against oil, much like you would the water tests(any oil-y lipid will work: grapeseed, olive, canola, soy, etc.). This way you can recommend eyeliner(or whatever other product) for different people. For example, people with a dry eye area will appreciate an eyeliner that is completely water- and smudge-proof. People who cry a lot due to sadness(or watching sad movies, like going to watch movies you expect to cry in) will also favor such an eyeliner. People who have water-y eyes due to allergies or dryness/irritation have oil-er tears(the natural oil in tears serves as a lubricant) and need something that is oil-resistant as well as somewhat water-resistant. Keep in mind that you will never find something that is completely resistant to both(except maybe in the rare case it is almost completely resistant to both, but not resistant to silicone or soap). People with watery eyes due to irritation/allergies/dryness will find that they need to work hard to find the right balance in eyeliner and find that some suit them only on different eye-days. For contact users it is recommended that the eye products they use are not completely water-proof and more oil-proof(we use saline solution(pretty much water + salt) to clean our lenses and if it completely water-proof, we'll ruin a perfectly good pair of contacts). For people with a naturally really-oily eye area, it should be completely oil-proof and a bit water resistant(in case it rains). Also, some people, especially teenagers/new-makeup users, prefer makeup to come off easily with what's at hand(i.e. usually soap and water, since few actually own oil- or silicone-based makeup removers or even own/willing-to-use straight up non-saturated oil "safe"[if they even know it's safe] for acne-prone skin), so some people appreciate products that come off with ease.
