I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who left a comment to let me know you're thinking of me and keeping me and my family in your prayers. If you don't know already, my father - who was only 56 - passed away suddenly last Saturday morning of an acute heart attack.
We were very close and I did not handle his passing well at all. I spent the majority of this past week in Pennsylvania, where my family is from, helping with everything and just being there for everyone - especially my mom. Below is a photo of my dad and I when I was little; it's one of the only photos I have with him, as he was not a man to be in photos.
He was an amazing dad and will be miss greatly.
I am now back in Virginia and will be getting back on track. I have a ton of blog posts lined up for you all, but it may take me a few days to a week or so to get back on track.

Crystal hun I am so, so sorry. I can't imagine what you are going through but hopefully you can find solace in the wonderful relationship you two shared.

ReplyDeletei am so reduced to tears reading your blog post.. I know and in fact I could feel the immensity of your love and longing for your Daddy. Only this I have to say--wherever your Daddy is now, be it here on earth, in heaven, by the foot of the rainbow or he could even be by the side of your computer table,( sneaking at every blog post you write, him) am more than sure that he's very happy and proud of what you have made of yourself. Keep making him feel that way. In you, his legacy lives on :)
