ALSO: Right now (May 31) all my emails are coming in, but I can't reply to any of them; they are just sitting in my outbox. Been like this for going on 2 days now. I should have it fixed by tonight, but I can't be certain. For now, if you do email me about the blog sale I may not be able to reply until my email is back to working. Update: EMAIL ALL FIXED! I will respond to people within the next 24 to 48 hours. I'm prepping for my yard sale right now so a bit busy but just wanted to update you all that email is working and I can respond!

As always, my blog sale is only open to those in the United States (sorry international ladies), I only ship using USPS Priority Mail (shipping prices start at $5 & go up from there), and payments must be made through PayPal. Full blog sale info is listed on the blog sale page.

I did remove the shoes from my blog sale for the time being. I am having a garage/yard sale this weekend and will be putting them out there. I may also do a flea market next weekend. Whatever doesn't sell between those two weekends will go up on my blog sale, which will include shoes, clothes, accessories, jewelry, and more! May have some more beauty items to add at that time as well.

Eyeko Brow Gel (tinted) - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I love the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (it's my favorite liquid liner), and up until a few weeks ago I've only tried products for the eyes. I recently tried out their Brow Gel - which is a tinted formula - and I've been liking it! It has such a cute tiny brush, perfect for your brows! Check out my full review and all the product info after the pictures!

Eyeko Brow Gel

Eyeko Brow Gel Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $24.00 (0.29 fl oz full size). Available on the Eyeko website. I haven't seen this product on the Sephora website yet, but I'm assuming it's coming soon.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

This is an easy-to-use tinted gel to style and care for your brows. Eyeko's nano-brush and botanically-enriched formula effortlessly defines brows for a natural finish. Maintain a healthy brow look with key ingredients Keratin and Ginko Bilabo to condition and thicken. Protein enriched to fortify and maintain healthy brows. Long-lasting hold without flaking or stiffness. Paraben-free.

I love using a brow gel to seal in my brow product I use to fill in my brows, and to keep my brow hairs in place. Even though I have very sparse brows, they still can have a stray here that likes to get out of line from time to time. Brow gel does the job and usually I stick to a clear brow gel but recently tried out this Eyeko Brow Gel - which does have a tint to it.

On the Eyeko website it says the tinted color suits all shades from blonde to brunette. I am brunette and haven't tried this on a blonde, but I can say the tint doesn't super show up in your brows so I would assume it would work for a lot of brow hair colors. In the swatch photo you can see some golden shimmer in the brow gel, but it's not something I've really noticed in person, or even noticed on my brows -- personally, I don't think it's really needed and I don't really like shimmer in brow products (which is the only reason I took off some points in my rating).

What I like the most about this is how small the brush is; I have thinner brows and this is like the perfect size (even if you had larger brows, this would be great). It's small and precise, so you get a perfect application every time.

I personally like to swipe some of the product off the brush before applying it to my brows, because I don't need as much control from the brow gel as maybe someone with thicker, fuller brows.

Overall, I really liked this brow gel and have been using it almost every day in place of my regular clear brow gel. I would say that maybe Eyeko should also make a clear version for those that aren't into tinted brow gels, but I would still recommend you try this one out next time you're on the market for a brow gel!

Now let me know what you think...

Jergens Natural Glow +Firming Daily Moisturizer in Medium to Tan - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I'm the type of person whose legs seem to be whiter than everything else, probably because I hardly wear shorts or dresses - although now that I'm losing weight I feel a bit better about it. So to catch my legs up to the rest of my body I like to use self-tanners. One of my favorites is from the drugstore: Jergens Natural Glow - which is one of the only drugstore self-tanners I like. There are several types of the Jergens Natural Glow; in this post I'll show you the Firming Daily Moisturizer version. I also have the 3-day formula - which I will share with you in another blog post soon.

Check out my full review and all the info on this product after the pics!

Jergens Natural Glow
+Firming Daily Moisturizer

Jergens Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturizer Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $8.50 to $9.99 depending where you shop (7.5 oz full size). Available at Walmart, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, Drugstore.com, and everywhere else Jergens is sold.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

Jergens Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturizer gradually creates fabulous natural-looking color with a subtle skin-darkening complex. In as little as 7 days you'll experience visibly firmer skin with less noticeable cellulite and improved elasticity.

Available in Fair to Medium skintones and Medium to Tan skintones. I have it in Medium to Tan.

There is a little sticker on the outside that says "Finally Great Color Without Odor" - but don't think this is completely without scent. There is still a subtle scent, but it's not offensive and certainly not self-tanner smelling at all. The subtle scent is actually kind of nice.

The texture of this lotion is nice as well. You just rub it in until you feel a slight resistance (which is a signal the product is starting to work). Sounds weird but you'll know it. Then allow it to dry for a few minutes before getting dressed. Wash your hands when you're done because you don't want dark palms! After a few days you'll notice yourself getting a gradual, healthy looking tan.

The reason I love the Jergens self tanners is specifically because it is a gradual tan that looks natural. Sure there are times I want instant results - or results within hours - but on a normal basis it's nice to build that tan as you would if you were on vacation or something. Plus, it looks natural on my skintone - which is a huge plus to look naturally tan and not orange tan.

There is the original Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, but why not have one that also firms and reduces the appearance of cellulite? Although I'm not totally sure it does that in just 7 days; I use my Mama Mio Bootcamp for Butts and that stuff seriously works at reducing your cellulite; so does the Stellar Cellulite Gel! Either way, I'm going to use the one that could give me added firming benefits!

They also offer their 3-day version, which I also own and will review in a separate blog post. There is the Foaming Daily Moisturizer too - but I haven't tried that one. They also have one that has SPF 20 in it, and also a Face version too. To check out all the Jergens Natural Glow options click here.

Overall, one of the best drugstore self tanners out there - at least in my opinion - and one that I, over the years, recommend time and time again.

Elegant Touch Trend Nails in Lace - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Who doesn't love quick and easy-to-use nail related items? I know I do! The Elegant Touch Trend Nails offer seven new designs for pretty length and design. I have them in Lace - which I'll show you in this post - and Pink Leopard. I think I'd like to get the Feather design too! Read my full review below after the pics!

Elegant Touch Trend Nails in Lace

Elegant Touch Trend Nails Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $7.99 (per pack). Will be available on the Elegant Touch website, but you can also find these at Ulta
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Have fun and add some glamour to your look with Elegant Touch's on-trend nails. Inspired by fashion and celebrity trends, Elegant Touch brings you exciting designs. UV Gel technology provides that added benefit of a salon gel, meaning the nail won't scratch and the nail stays bright and strong for the entire wear.

Available in Lace (shown in this post), Pink Leopard (which I also own and will likely show in the future), Pink Star, Rainbow Leopard, Pink Sky, Feather, and Purple Zebra.

I love easy-to-use nail items, and sometimes my nails just won't grow but I want some length. These fake nails are super easy to use and look nice.

They come with adhesive tabs, which are okay if you're just wanting to wear them for a day or two - but if you want longer wear from these then I definitely suggest you use a nail glue. The tabs are pretty good at keeping your nails on, but after a day one nail had popped off. I tried to put it back on with another adhesive tab but it came off again. I ended up taking them all off after 2 days; next time I'll use nail glue for sure!

Usually if I use adhesive tabs with fake nails I can get more than one use from them, but that wasn't the case with these. When I pulled them off the nails bent out of shape. It was weird; it was like they got soft. At least they were easy to come off!

Even though these are "short", I still filed them down more to a length that was more workable for me (aka, so I could text super easy still and dip into cream shadow pots, lol). To clean up the edges after I filed them down I just painted the edges with black polish - but use any polish color that goes with the design you have. Black just happened to look nice with these.

The little number things attached to the nails break off really easily and cleanly - which is nice because it does help apply them easier and then they still look nice after that is removed.

I do like these for special occasions  or quick date-night nails when you're in a rush - but I do think using nail glue is the way to go with these.

Now let me know what you think...

Surprise Follower Giveaway Time! Check to see if you've won! May 2013

Hello, Beautiful!

I haven't done a Surprise Follower Giveaway in a long time, so I'm kicking it back off today -- this time selecting THREE of you! I've also slightly changed the way I'm going to do these; before I would email you and you'd win. But since these are for my followers, and I want to make sure the people that win are actually following my blog (which is only fair, right?), I'm going to leave it up to them to email me -- meaning they saw this post. I'll also announce it on my Facebook and Twitter page (please follow me there if you aren't already) so there is more of a chance to see this post.

So the new rules are simple...
  1. Be a follower of my blog. It's open to EVERYONE - USA and internationally.
  2. I'll randomly select one follower every couple weeks or so (today I'm selecting THREE of you).
  3. See your name and/or blog link posted as one of the winners and email me by the date specified to claim your prize.
  4. When you email me just give me your full name and mailing address.
  5. A mystery prize will be shipped to you as a thank-you for being a follower of my blog.
The prizes for the Surprise Follower Giveaway can be anything; usually just one or two items max - but a nice little thank-you just for following my blog!

I'll also have your email address already - from your blog or info - so I'll be able to verify it is actually you and not someone pretending to be you. I may even email you to that email address I have just to verify I have the right person.

If the follower I selected doesn't reply I'll simply roll that prize to the next Surprise Follower Giveaway.

So lets get to it, shall we?

The THREE winners of my May Surprise Follower Giveaway are....

If you're one of the three people below all you need to do is send me an email with your name and mailing address no later than May 28, 2013! My email address is kisses@valentinekisses.com

Congrats to you three! But hurry to reply by May 28, 2013!

Mama Mio Lucky Legs - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I love Mama Mio products; for me they always do what they say and they work. My most recent addition to my Mama Mio collection is their Lucky Legs - which is rapid relief for heavy legs and feet. This product is great for so many people - even those that are pregnant. Use it post-workout, after a long day, to help with pains in your legs or feet, or just a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. This is great for the summer time, but year round as well. I am loving it!

Check out my pics, swatches, info, and review... click on pics to view them larger.

Mama Mio Lucky Legs Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $19.50 (3.4 fl oz full size). Available on the Mama Mio website and everywhere else Mama Mio products are sold.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

This cooling serum boosts circulation to reduce discomfort in a flash. Packed with energizing oils and refreshing spearmint to revive tired legs and de-puff swollen feet.

One or two pumps is all you need, as this serum will glide over your legs and feet, sinking in quickly. Apply from tippy toes to knees daily (I even take it up my thighs some days). Reapply often if your legs are very achy. This mini-spa treatment has both instant and cumulative benefits so do treat your legs with the love they really deserve. Clinically tested ingredients leave you with feather-light legs, reducing discomfort and helping circulation.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this product is great for so many people. I would say for guys to use it as well but there is shimmer in it and that alone would probably scare them away. Still, if it's nighttime and they plan to shower in the morning anyway, they may give you the go-ahead to use it on them. This is also great for pregnant women who often have pain in their legs/feet or just tired legs/feet.

For me personally, I have a leg injury (well, broken tailbone that is doing some bad things to my left leg -- I go to a pain management doctor and get injections to help). I use this to make it feel soothed and just get a little burst of relief. Of course it's not going to take away all the pain of my injury, but it certainly makes my legs feel good.

Especially nice to use post-workout when your legs have done their job. You feel great and refreshed! Had a long day walking around - say, like at an amusement park or just a long day running errands? Then throw some of this one your legs and feet and you'll be thanking Mama Mio for having this!

Attending weddings or other events where high heels are a must? Use this at the end of the night on your feet and you'll feel so much better!

This smells like spearmint, which I think smells nice. It has a watery, creamy texture -- a serum like feel -- that glides on your skin so easily. It does have a shimmer in it, a pretty golden shimmer, but its not crazy shimmer. It leaves behind a subtle shimmer.

I love this product, as I seem to love all Mama Mio products, and would definitely recommend this!

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Multi-reflective pigments make these eyeshadows look perfect under any light. Unique 4-shade palettes for vibrant and intense color. Velvety, creamy formula blends effortlessly. Use dry for subtle or luminous looks, or use wet for even greater color impact. Of course, use over a shadow primer for best wear and best color payoff.

My only complaint about these is I hate palettes where the shadows are in weird shapes - especially small spaces for the shadows. Sure, it looks really pretty how it is - I'm definitely attracted to how it looks - but it makes it harder to pick up those colors with your brush when you have to get in those small areas. You're more likely to get the other colors on the brush. I would much rather prefer they make it a "boring" palette and have four square or four circle pans of the colors; not as as visually beautiful, but far more practical.

The pigmentation on these is okay; works way better over a primer or a cream shadow base. They all have a luminous quality to them; very pretty.

Available in 8 palettes; I have Green Park and Purple Reign (which is what I'm showing you in this blog post) but I also want to try Heart Of Gold and Black Cab. What quads would you want?

Now let me know what you think...
