Ellis Faas is one of my favorite high end brands, and their new Hot Lips won me over from the first swatch - which I posted on Instagram here and also posted lip swatches here (if you don't already follow me on Instagram my name on there is valentinekissesbeauty). I have 3 gorgeous pink shades to share with you in this post: L408 Baby Pink, L407 Deep Pink, and L404 Fluo Pink. They are SUPER pigmented, creamy, and long-wearing! Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics!

Ellis Faas Hot Lips Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $35.00 (0.85 oz full size). Available on the Ellis Faas website, will be available on the Sephora website, and everywhere else Ellis Faas is sold.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!
Hot Lips is Ellis Faas' latest revolutionary texture for the lips. Because it's absolutely packed with pigment, you'll only need a tiny bit of the non-greasy Hot Lips to add vibrant color to your lips. Hot Lips are extremely long wearing without the risk of drying out your lips. A little goes a very long way! Paraben-free. Non-sticky. No animal testing.
Currently available in nine shades:
- L401 Bright Red
- L402 Bright Orange
- L403 Bright Fuchsia
- L404 Fluo Pink
- L405 Bright Coral
- L406 Rose Violet
- L407 Deep Pink
- L408 Baby Pink
- L409 Pink Nude
I have three of the pink shades - and I love all three shades. I think the only other shade I'd want is the L409 Pink Nude. However, they have a shade for everyone. If you're into reds, then go for L401. Like oranges - go for L402 or L405. Want a purple lip - go for L403 or L406. Like nude or light pink lips - go for L409 or L408. Like everyday pink lips - go for L407 or L408. Like a bright pink lip - go for L404.
Shade L408 Baby Pink reads more peachy pink on me in person but it is a lighter shade of pink that is very opaque and full coverage!
Shade L407 Deep Pink is a perfect everyday color for me. It's not so bright of a pink, but it's still deep enough of a pink shade to give your lips a bold pop of color without being in-your-face bright lips. Very opaque and one I'd recommend if you're unsure of what shade to try.
Shade L404 Fluo Pink is a very hot pink, almost red hot pink in shade. Very vivid and the most bold bright color of the three I have. I like to wear this shade when I wear a very simple eyeliner look so my lips are the focus.
The Ellis Faas Hot Lips are in their signature silver bullet/pen-style packaging with a twist-up color delivery through a soft, velvety applicator. The color name (not full name, just the #) is on the bottom, which is color matching to the shade inside. Ellis Faas sells pen holders if you want to organize your Ellis Faas collection!
I normally photograph items before I swatch them, but I just couldn't wait with these and I swatched before I photographed them. They are EXTREMELY pigmented. They're one of the most pigmented liquid lipstick products I've ever tried. You will find that you need very little to cover your lips. They are also very creamy in texture - similar to the texture of the Ellis Faas Creamy Lips. Like they say, a little truly does go a long way!
They are very long lasting too; they don't dry out my lips and they look gorgeous on - feel comfortable too. Very weightless yet full coverage color. They have a slight shine to the lips too but not like a gloss but a bit more than a lipstick would give you.
The price point is within the usual range for a high-end/luxury brand cosmetic product. I really love Ellis Faas products so I would absolutely say this is a splurge well worth it! If you want bold, full coverage lip color that is long lasting and creamy in texture, then Ellis Faas Hot Lips may be just what you've been searching for.

Oh my god, these look AMAZING! We don't get Ellis Faas here, and it's such a shame because beauty junkies like me *NEED* something like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for sharing this!!! I'm trying to decide which one I want to try first. L404 Fluo Pink looks gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteOooo these look great! They remind me of Bare minerals pretty amazing liquid lipsticks, are you familiar with those? Are they similar?
ReplyDeleteI 'bout fainted. These.Are.Stunningggggg!
ReplyDelete401 will definitely be on my wishlist. I don't get along with every red I meet, but Ellis Faas reds are always a good choice.
ReplyDeleteThese lipsticks are soooo pigmented! I love the colors but the price is steep for me! Great review!

ReplyDelete@LauraLeia: You do need these! They are amazing -- doesn't the Ellis Faas website offer shipping to other countries? I haven't checked but that may be your best choice -- or ebay, but I doubt these would be on ebay since they are so new.
ReplyDelete@Anne JF: You should definitely try that one first - it is gorgeous!
ReplyDelete@twiStar: I haven't tried the Bare minerals Pretty Amazing Liquid Lipsticks, but I've swatched them before at Ulta and I don't think they're too similar. The Ellis Faas ones are so creamy and so incredibly pigmented -- probably the most pigmented liquid lipsticks I've tried. But I haven't tried the Bare Minerals ones on my lips so I really shouldn't even try to compare them lol.
ReplyDelete@Victoria S: The price point is definitely a splurge, but Ellis Faas to me is luxury in a silver pen-style packaging. Love it! They are gorgeous and since they perform so well I can justify the price. But I would recommend, if you did get one, to get one of the shades you could wear daily so you'll get the most use and the most bang for your buck!
