Hello, Beautiful!
A couple days ago I posted about a giveaway MASSI was having on their Facebook page - which ends tomorrow (January 13, 2013), so if you haven't entered hurry over a do so. I wanted to do a review on the MASSI Casella de Serpente Makeup Bag so even if you don't win one of your own you could see more pics of it and my thoughts, in case you were thinking of buying one for yourself. It is a luxury brand, so keep in mind the price point isn't for everyone, but I can say this is a very high quality bag that is an investment that will last you a very, very long time. Like a good quality purse, you can see the difference and realize it will last you a long time in the long run over other makeup bags.

The MASSI Casella de Serpente is perfect for traveling with all your beauty essentials. Carry, store and protect all your favorite products with this chic bag. Snakeskin embossed detailing and crocodile print trim, available in 4 colors. The snakeskin faux finish is soft to the touch, fully-lined and features gold hardware zipper. The perfect compliment to any beauty collection.
According to the MASSI website, this is made of polyurethane, but it doesn't feel that way. It feels like leather and it seems extremely durable. When you see and feel this bag in person you start to realize this bag will stand the test of time.
I have many makeup bags; most I've gotten for free when I buy makeup kits or with the My Glam (now called Ipsy), but they never really hold up all that great. The free bags also usually aren't very large. Now I will say I thought this bag was going to be fairly small and not hold much. I was very wrong on that. Sure, it's not a jumbo bag, but it can hold A LOT more than it looks. On the MASSI website the measurements for this bag is 8" L x 4.5" W x 4" H. However, it expands to hold alot, as I tried to show by sticking my hand in the bag and spreading out my fingers.
This bag is nicely lined too in a red satin-like material, that is easy to clean if need be. The bag color I chose is Black, because with the red inside it reminds me of Louis Vuitton heels. The other colors are nice; an aqua (Capri) which was my second favorite choice; a beige/tan (Clay) which is great for those that prefer more neutral tones; and a burgundy red (Cordovan) which I wasn't a big fan of the color but if you like brick reds you may love that one.
This bag is small enough to fit into my purse if I want to take along several items (such as if I'm doing an overnight somewhere). It may be all you need to store all your makeup, but for my makeup collection I'd need about 1,000 of these.
Yes, this is a luxury item with a price point that is higher than most makeup bags. You just need to keep in mind that this is a really nice quality product. It's going to last you a very long time, if not forever. Same concept as buying a high-end purse compared to a purse you can buy at Wal-Mart; the high-end purse will hold up, look better, and last longer for you. Same with this makeup bag.
I do love this bag and if your budget allows, I suggest buying one. It will come in handy for everyday and for travel.
