Marika Miracles Slimming Capri Legging with Tummy Control -- pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I was sent the Marika Miracles Slimming Capri Legging with Tummy Control to test out. I really like the way it slims my legs and holds all the jiggle in place when I work out; it does great things for your body shape. I will say it is very body hugging, which it should be as it's designed to be, so make sure you get your actual size and not size down. I know for me when I buy yoga pants I sometimes will size down because they stretch and I'm usually in between sizes anyway. In this case, the Large fit me perfectly and their large is size 12-14.

My blog readers can save 20% through the end of May 2012 using the code MIRACLES.

Please ignore the dog hair on the pants; it seems even if I don't go near my dog his hair still gets on everything!

Marika Miracles Slimming Capri Legging with Tummy Control Info & Review:
The Marika Miracles Slimming Capri Legging with Tummy Control is a great pair of workout pants, well, workout capri's. They do an excellent job at sucking in your body to give you a smooth, firm shape, while controlling your tummy and not being overly tight.

The fabric is nice... there is stretch to it and feels comfortable on the skin. You can't go wrong with the black color, as it goes with everything just about. Probably my only complaint, which isn't much of a complaint, is the tummy control area is a little too snug when you sit down... that is, if you have a little belly to suck in. But really, you should be working out with these anyway, so sitting down at the computer (like I'm doing as I write this) is not the best method to wear these.

They are a bit pricey, but the quality is there and worth the investment. Overall, I'd recommend!

Arcona Raspberry Clarifying Pads - pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Last month I shared with you the Arcona Mandarin Brightening Peel, which I loved and still love using. In this post I'll share you with you their Raspberry Clarifying Pads. Arcona's Raspberry Clarifying Pads are fantastic - they smell great and do good things for my skin.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats, and review... click on pics to view them larger.

Arcona Raspberry Clarifying Pads

Basic Stats for Arcona Raspberry Clarifying Pads:
Formula: liquid soaked pads
Cost/Availability: $32.00 (45 pads full size). Available on the Arcona website.
Packaging: rounded jar with twist-off lid
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses

Arcona Raspberry Clarifying Pads Info & Review:
Powerful blemish-reducing toner in a convenient cotton pad which helps clear congested skin and prevent stubborn breakouts and the formation of comedones. Dissolves skin impurities and gently exfoliates with salicylic acid. Cleanses and reduces enlarged pores with naturally antiseptic witch hazel. Combats breakouts with totara and tea tree extracts. Protect and clarify skin with antimicrobial raspberry extract, containing high concentrations of vitamins, phytonutrients and flavonoids.

First, I have to comment on the scent of these pads; they smell like raspberries - which is refreshing when so many skincare products can have an off/non-pleasant scent. Of course there is a toner like smell too, but mostly raspberry scented. But besides the scent, do they work? Absolutely! At least for me they do. You can use these morning and/or night, and you don't even need to use them on a daily basis if you don't want to. I don't use these every single day but still benefit from them when I do pull them out. When my breakouts start up (that time of the month), this is a great product to use morning and night to help them stay under control and disappear faster.

Each pad is soaked with product, so you have more than enough to do your entire face and neck. Unlike some toners, there is no irritation to my face when using these. No stinging or burning. They just feel refreshing and after my face feels really clean and to me, my face even feels softer.

Overall, I really like these pads. They would make a great addition to your skincare routine if you have problematic skin (or just want an extra helper if you have time-of-the-month breakouts).

Sephora + Pantone Universe Strokes of Nature Brush Set

Hello, Beautiful!

The other day UPS dropped off a package at my door and I was confused considering I hadn't ordered anything lately. To my delight, when I opened the package it was from Sephora and inside was a special gift just for me from Sephora for being a VIB and valuable contributor to the Sephora Ratings & Reviews. What was the special gift? The brand new, not even out in stores yet, Sephora + Pantone Universe Strokes of Nature Brush Set! I did a happy dance and then knew I had to get this photographed so I could begin using these beautiful brushes right away.

First, I'll show you pics of this beautiful brush set, then read my review after.

Sephora + Pantone Universe Strokes of Nature Brush Set Info & Review:
As stated at the beginning of this post, this brush set was sent to me from Sephora (thank you Sephora!). I had no idea it was coming, or that they even did that sort of thing, so it was such a great surprise! The Sephora + Pantone Universe Strokes of Nature Brush Set is so new that you can't buy it in stores until June 7th.

I'm not sure how much this brush set will cost, since the letter didn't mention any price, but whatever the cost I can tell you it's worth it! This brush set is GORGEOUS. The brushes come in a really nice case that opens up to reveal spaces for each brush and a nice large mirror that would come in handy for travel.

The brush set includes 5 brushes: Shadow, Shader, Crease, Smudge, and Liner. The brush heads are really nice quality.. soft and durable. The brush handles are soooooo pretty! They're duo chrome, changing from purple to blue to green. These are the prettiest brushes I have, and I have a lot of brushes.

Even though I haven't had this set for long, I can say that so far I am in love with these brushes. They are the perfect set for your eye makeup.

I highly recommend checking these out when they launch at Sephora on June 7, 2012!
