Reviva Labs Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk and Lighten & Brighten Dark Spot Serum: pics, swatches, reviews

Hello, Beautiful!

I've got two new products from Reviva Labs to share with you in this post: their Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk and their Lighten & Brighten Dark Spot Serum. I like both products, especially because they both have very light to barely there scents, which is a welcome change to skincare products that can be bad smelling or too strong.

Check out my pics, swatches, info, and reviews... click on pics to view them larger.

Reviva Labs
Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk

Reviva Labs Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $8.00 current sale price; not sure of regular price (4 oz full size). Available on the Reviva Labs website
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Hawaiian Seaweed Cleansing Milk is a mineral-rich, milky seaweed cleanser that helps to eliminate toxins as it cleanses. Hawaiian Seaweed's valuable minerals help energize skin as the milky cleanser easily lifts out dirt, makeup and environmental debris. Hawaiian Seaweed's magnesium helps soften skin too. With an exact amount of proper viscosity vegetable oil, this formula is an effective day/night facial cleanser for any skin type.

Cleans deep into pores. Paraben free. No animal testing. No animal ingredients. Made in the USA.

To Use: Lather onto wet skin and massage into skin, or apply onto your Clarisonic (or whatever face cleanser brush you may use).

This had a nice light scent, which is hard to describe but I liked it. The texture of this cleanser is nice and lightweight, creamy and silky smooth. Applies nicely and does a good job at cleaning my skin. If you do use this at night to wash off your makeup then you should wash off the makeup, then repeat to make sure your skin is fully cleansed. However, using this with the Clarisonic still did a good job at taking off my makeup.

I'd recommend checking this out.

Reviva Labs
Lighten & Brighten Dark Spot Serum

Reviva Labs Lighten & Brighten Dark Spot Serum Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $19.00 current sale price; not sure of regular price (1 fl oz full size). Available on the Reviva Labs website.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses

Target dark spots and improve skin tone for a more uniform and brighter complexion. Formulated to be aggressive yet gentle, Reviva Lab's new serum will reduce age and/or dark spots and brighten your overall complexion. It's the perfect solution for targeting skin spots - to speed results as it improves skin tone.

The newest, powerful addition to Reviva Labs' Skin Lightening Program - which includes cleansers, day creams, night creams and exfoliants - will have you saying goodbye to discolored skin and hello to a brighter you.

Combines chromabright, kojic acid, bearberry (arbutin) and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. For all skin types, ages, and ethnicities. Paraben free. No animal testing. No animal ingredients. Made in the USA.

To Use: Apply a small amount on dark spot areas. Can be used alone or under Reviva Labs Brown Spot Cream.

This has a barely-there scent, which is a refreshing change to skin care that can smell terrible or strong. The texture is best described as a rich, dense serum. It applies easily and absorbs fast.

I haven't been using this all that long, but so far I've noticed my dark spots (hyper pigmentation) to be fading quicker than it usually does.

For anyone with dark spots, this is a great product to check out!

This is how I stored them after I opened the package:

Reviva Labs 100% Pure Freeze-Dried Collagen Fibre Skin Brightener Pads PRO's & CON's:
PRO's: works quickly
CON's: ?

Basic Stats for Reviva Labs 100% Pure Freeze-Dried Collagen Fibre Skin Brightener Pads:
Formula: foam-like pad
Cost/Availability: $13.00 for 2 pads (3"x4" each pad). Available on Reviva Lab's website and everywhere else Reviva Labs are sold (although I haven't seen this particular product on Ulta's website).
Packaging: needs to be put back into a zip lock bag after opening
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

Formula:
100% Freeze-Dried Collagen Fibre pads lighten and brighten brow spots and uneven pigmentation on areas of your face and hands... in minutes! You can see temporary results in as little as 15 to 20 minutes and long term results in about a month (if using 2 to 3 times a week). They are foam-like pads... although not foam exactly in feeling but I can't describe the texture properly. You get two pads in the package, each are 3" x 4" and can be cut to cover any spot you want to treat, meaning you may get a ton of uses from each pad or just a few, depending on how large an area you are covering. You will dampen the area with water before putting these on, or ideally with their Brown Spot Lightening Gel. I only had water. Alpha-Arbutin is an ultra lightening ingredient infused into the collagen fibre and is supported by licorice extract and citric acid; making it a powerful lightening/brightening trio.

Cost/Availability:
$13.00 for 2 pads (3"x4" each pad). Available on Reviva Lab's website and everywhere else Reviva Labs are sold (although I haven't seen this particular product on Ulta's website).

Packaging:
I had to put these back into a zip-lock bag when I was done using them. I don't know if they updated packaging since I purchased these or not, but that was the one flaw of the packaging because there is no where for them to go (and you certainly won't use up both pads in one use... unless you are covering huge areas of your body).

Reviva Labs 100% Pure Freeze-Dried Collagen Fibre Skin Brightener Pads Review:
These pads are a new concept to me. I was intrigued online and was surprised when they arrived. I think I was expecting them to be more like other pads I've used in the past, which are generally thin, cloth-like and wet/soaked with product. Not the case with these. They had a unique texture; foam-like but not really. I don't know how to describe it; someone else may have a better description than me.

Using them was super easy. I just cut them into the size I needed to treat the dark spots I wanted to brighten (you can even use these under your eyes). I did notice some brightening/lightening after one treatment (I left them on for a little more than 20 minutes), but like they said, it's temporary. Long term lightening/brightening results will happen if you continue use (2 to 3 times per week) over at least a month. This combined with Reviva's Labs Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream will be a powerful duo to fade my hyper pigmentation.

Overall, yes, I would recommend these. They are great because you do get a temporary brightening effect after one session, so you could use these before big events to brighten your skin.

Reviva Labs Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream -- pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I have hyper pigmentation from my acne. Every time I get a pimple it will leave behind a dark spot, even if I don't touch it. It's annoying to cover with concealer and foundation, but I now have a way to help those dark spots fade away quicker! I'm using Reviva Labs Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream!

I haven't been using it on my face very long, so no results there yet. But I tested it out on a spot I had on my neck and it really did fade the spot quickly (within 3 weeks I could barely see the spot). I've been really bad about using this consistently, but I know I'll get better with it so my dark spots can fade away!

Check out my pics, stats, and review...

Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream

Reviva Labs Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream PRO's & CON's:
PRO's: affordable, results in as little as 3 to 4 weeks (or even sooner!)

Test there for a few days and if you have no reaction then proceed to use it on your face.

Reviva Labs Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream Review:
Even though I haven't used this very long on my face, I really do like it. I tested out a brown spot on my neck and it faded to nearly nothing within 3 weeks. I'm excited to see results on my face with continued use.

I'm really bad about using this on a daily basis. Some nights I am too tired to do much more than wash my face, other nights I do a million things to my face - and those are the nights I remember to use this cream.

I didn't have any reactions on my skin, but I've read that people have had skin sensitivity to this - which from what I've read has ranged from redness to hives. Of course if you're allergic to an ingredient in any product you may use you'll have a reaction to it. However, for the majority of people this will work wonders to help lighten your dark spots!

Overall, yes, I would recommend this cream but please do a test patch first!

Reviva Labs Pomegranate/Lactic Acid Exfoliant Review:
This exfoliant applies like a mask which you'll scrub off after a few minutes, revealing smoother, brighter skin. I have to admit that the smell is not my favorite, but I think a lot of you know how sensitive to smells I am. One thing I do know, most skincare products that work well have an awful smell, so I have no problem using this knowing it will be good for me.

I've used this exfoliant on both myself and my husband. He has sensitive skin and I have acne-prone skin. We both had smoother, brighter skin afterwards.

To use this I just washed my face as normal (Clarisonic Mia with some sort of cleanser). Then I applied this the way I do with a clay mask. I left it on for about 5 minutes, although you only need to wait 3 to 4 minutes. Then I took a dry paper towel and gently scrubbed it off using circular motions. Then I rinsed my face to get rid of any left overs and I was good to go.

If you buy this you can use this 3 to 4 times a week, which is great for those that like to indulge with a quick and easy mask. You don't need to use it that often; once a week would be just fine. This isn't my favorite mask/scrub/exfoliant that I own, but it's a good one.

Reviva Labs Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub -- pics, review

Hello, Beautiful!

My Skincare Challenge includes masks and peels one to four times a week (depending on which product I use). One of those scrubs that I've most recently discovered is Reviva Labs Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub.

Check out my pics, swatches, stats and review...

Reviva Labs
Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub

Basic stats for Reviva Labs Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub:

My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses

Formula:
This is Reviva Labs new and improved formula, allowing even those with sensitive or acne skin to enjoy microdermabrasion. Made with pure mild magnesium oxide, pomegranate, and soothing, calming organic oils. Helps to retexturize skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and rough skin by featuring gentle magnesium oxide crystals and pomegranate instead of abrasive aluminium oxide.

Cost/Availability:
$19 (2 oz full size). Available on the Reviva Labs website.

Packaging:
Round jar with twist-off lid.

Reviva Labs Microdermabrasion Pomegranate Scrub Review:
This is a really gentle scrub, but it still leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. I haven't been using it long enough to see long term benefits, but so far I'm loving this scrub. You don't need to use a lot either, so this 2 ounce size will give you a good amount of uses.

I used this on both myself and my husband. I like to do scrubs, peels and masks on him because that's really the only way I can get him to use skincare. He has sensitive skin, and my skin is acne-prone, so we're good test subjects when it comes to this kind of thing. We both had no issues using this scrub.

To use this I just washed my face as normal (Clarisonic Mia with some sort of cleanser), then apply this in circular motions to my face, gently scrubbing my face for about 3 minutes. I then left it sit for another minute before washing it off. I'm sure that's not necessary, but it's what I did. You could even keep this jar in the shower and do a quick microdermabrasion to your face while you let your conditioner sit on your hair.

It's a quick and easy way to get microdermabrasion into your skincare routine. If you buy this I would suggest using it once a week. If you have extra dry skin (which happens to a lot of us in the winter), use twice a week.
