CND Solar Oil - pics, before & after, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Cuticle oil is something I need to take stock in when cold weather hits. My hands always take a beating during the fall and winter and CND's Solar Oil - a nail and cuticle conditioner - is a great aid in making my hands look and feel better.

CND Solar Oil

CND Solar Oil Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $16.99 (2.3 fl oz size shown in this post). Comes in several sizes; prices vary. Sizes include: 0.125 fl oz, 0.25 fl oz, 0.50 fl oz, 2.3 fl oz, and 4 fl oz. Available on the CND website (search for salon locations near you), at Ulta (they offer the 0.25 fl oz and 0.50 fl oz size), and everywhere else CND products are sold.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Award-winning cuticle oil is infused with jojoba oil and vitamin E.

CND's Solar Oil's synergistic blend of naturally light oils and vitamin E offer intense therapy for dry, damaged cuticles. Jojoba oil carries the vitamin E deeply into the skin, reducing visible signs of aging and keeping hands soft and supple. Repeated use actually drives the oils deeper in the natural nail, for results that only get better with time.

With use of Solar Oil, nails hold color and enhancements better, feel stronger and are more flexible. Solar Oil features a super-penetrating formula that works wonders on nails and cuticles.

This had a lovely almond scent, felt non-greasy, and did a fantastic job at hydrating my cuticles and nails. The size I have comes with a dropper as well as the brush, so I can choose my application method.

Really loved this cuticle oil and I suggest you check it out as well!

The CND Scentsation Lotions for the 2012 Holiday season come in a 8.3 fl oz pump-top bottle. Three new scents: Celebrate, Delight, and Enchant. These scented lotions lavishly moisturize skin and delight the senses. These soft, silky blends are made to moisturize hands and body with unique, fun fragrances.

I loved the texture; they are rich and creamy. They're also very moisturizing. Perfect for every mani and pedi!

The holiday scents are nice, but I wasn't a huge fan of Celebrate. The other two, Delight and Enchant, were very nice. All the fragrances are light.

I'd recommend these holiday scents!

Out of the five scents in this kit my favorites were Black Cherry & Nutmeg and Mango & Coconut. I didn't like the others all that much, but all the fragrances are light.

I absolutely LOVED both of these products. The smell is very nice; a great light cucumber scent that is refreshing.

Both the Cucumber Heel Therapy and the Cucumber Hand Therapy are rich, creamy, and super hydrating. Instantly soothes, relieves and moisturizes my feet and hands. I think i'm hooked; I haven't been able to do a mani or pedi without these products since I received them.

I highly recommend picking up a set for yourself and your best friend! Makes a fantastic gift, especially with a few CND polishes along side.

NOTD: Nude & Neon Polka Dots

Hello, Beautiful!

Sorry for a lack of nail related posts; I honestly haven't had the time to do my nails. I went almost an entire month without changing my polish - which is super unusual for me. I also shortened my nails super, super short because we have been remodeling our son's bedroom, and I just didn't want to even bother trying to keep them from breaking. They'll grow again, but for now they're short little stubs. Today I finally took some time to do my nails, and for some reason I was inspired by the Bobbi Brown Neons & Nudes makeup collection. I decided to go with simple polka dots, using a dotting tool.

To re-create this NOTD:

  • 1 coat of CND Stickey Base Coat
  • 2 coats of Zoya polish in Shay
  • Using a dotting tool, apply Color Club polish in Almost Famous to all fingers except ring/accent finger
  • Using a dotting tool, apply American Apparel Polish in Neon Red to ring/accent finger
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite to finish off
