Hello, Beautiful!

I've wanted Charlotte Tilbury's lipstick in the shade Bitch Perfect since the first day I saw it online. I finally got my hands on it (from Nordstrom) and have been in love ever since. I also picked up Coachella Coral and both shades are winners in my book! Although there was a formula difference between the two, but I think it's because I received an older tube of Bitch Perfect. I knew I was buying Bitch Perfect, but I didn't realize I would also fall in love with Coachella Coral from the videos I saw online. I'll go into detail on each shade below.

Let's start with my favorite shade, Bitch Perfect.....

Although the packaging isn't heavy duty, it still looks really nice. A pretty gold style with a hint of rose in that gold tone. Her "CT" embossed on the top of the lid, and the shade name on the bottom.

When buying her lipsticks, I knew I had to get Bitch Perfect. There's a reason the word "perfect" is in the shade name; to me this is perfect. It's such a gorgeous nude shade that would look great on nearly everyone.

Judging by how the bullet looks, I think I got an old one or maybe a dud... especially because the formula of Bitch Perfect is much drier than Coachella Coral. 

This shade is so gorgeous. It looks darker in the tube than how it applies on the lips. It's a perfect pinky-peachy nude shade.

Now let's talk about Coachella Coral.....

Same pretty packaging.

This shade was a "don't need" at first, when looking at swatches on the Nordstrom website. But then I saw a video of this swatched and it completely changed my mind.

As you can see, this lipstick bullet is perfectly smooth. I really do think I got an old  Bitch Perfect because Coachella Coral applies like butter! 

I can best describe this shade as a vibrant pinky coral with an orange undertone. It may lean warmer (more orange) on your lips than pink depending on your lip coloring. For me it does lean a bit warmer, but I still see the pink in the orange coral undertone for sure. In person this shade is a bit more vibrant than how it appears in the lip swatches. It's a really beautiful bolder shade that I think would be the perfect spring and summer shade, too bad fall is here and winter will be here before we know it. But I'm one to wear whatever lip color no matter the season, so I'll rock this with a simple eye look for certain!

THE FINAL VERDICT...

I originally swatched Bitch Perfect first, and wasn't that impressed by the formula. I didn't understand why everyone said it was really creamy and had a smooth application. I thought it was a bit dry and didn't have the smoothest application (it kind of tugged at my lips just a bit). Then I swatched Coachella Coral and the difference was like night and day. Coachella Coral glides on like a dream. So I'm 99.9% sure I got an old Bitch Perfect or a factory fuck up.

In terms of shades, Bitch Perfect (no matter if the formula on mine was a bit drier) is perfection in a tube for me. I love, love, LOVE the shade and think this is a must-have for anyone who enjoys nude shades that have more pink/peach to them and that will compliment the lips and not erase them.

I also really like Coachella Coral. It's a great one for those that like a pop of vibrant coral on their lips. It is a pretty one!

I'm not even sure what other shades would really interest me from the 10 she currently has. There is one or two from the Matte Revolution line that I'm curious about (Amazing Grace and Sexy Sienna). In time I may treat myself to them.

I do think $32 is a bit spendy for a lipstick but I enjoy these shades and they won't go to waste. For a high-end lipstick, these didn't disappoint (other than the formula issue with Bitch Perfect).

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette Shadow Quads: The Rock Chick, Fallen Angel (limited edition), The Uptown Girl

While trying out some Charlotte Tilbury items, I knew I had to try an eyeshadow quad. I ended up purchasing three. Don't you hate it when that happens?! Seriously though, I only intended to buy one - The Uptown Girl quad - and then kind of forgot I'm not made of money and bought two more. Two of the quads are from her regular line of Luxury Palettes, and one is a limited edition Luxury Palette with a wet/dry formula.

Each palette contains four harmonious shades that offer a complete "desk to disco" eye color wardrobe and an easy to use application ritual that is fail-safe to follow.

The limited edition palette is her first Luxury Palette with a breakthrough formula for a wet and dry finish. Either use dry for a rich and buildable layer of color, or dampen the brush with water for three times the color intensity and an irresistible liquid metal reflective finish.

The normal palette packaging is shown above and below with the first and third quad. The middle quad, Fallen Angel, is the limited edition palette. It has a pretty scattered star print on the front and the pans of the palette also have star embossing in them.

This palette is a gray taupe eyeshadow lovers dream. It has the perfect mix of gray taupe tones with a gorgeous gray/silver sparkle shade that takes this palette to a gorgeous sparkling look.

Shade: Fallen Angel (limited edition)

This is the limited edition Fallen Angel palette. It has a different formula than the other two; this one is wet/dry, and honestly they look gorgeous either way. Wearing them wet definitely intensifies them to make them more metallic, but they are pigmented on their own.

One let down for me is when I received this palette one of the pans is loose in the compact. For a $65 quad I expect it to be perfect. Sure, I can super glue it back in if it falls out, but I shouldn't have to.

This palette is described as the ultimate smoky eye palette. It combines a hypnotic blend of pale golden pearl, antique silver, velvet black, and molten metallic bronze to create a gorgeous smoky eye that looks amazing on every skin tone. The top right shade is my favorite!

Shades: The Uptown Girl

This palette is my FAVORITE of the three. It's so pretty - when worn together or using just one or two shades on their own.

This palette is described as a beautiful quartet of champagne, oyster and smoky gray hues that work together to conjure a wearable, subtle smoky eye with no effort involved.

The bottom left shade is a GORGEOUS glitter topper that looks gives your eyes a gorgeous day-time sparkle if worn alone. It has a slight pink undertone but mostly just shows up as gorgeous sparkle on your eyes. I don't experience any fall out either with these shades, even when applied with a brush. When applied over the darker shades, it really makes a dramatic, gorgeous, hypnotizing look. Love it!

THE FINAL VERDICT...

I think these palettes are a splurge at $52 a piece ($65 for the limited edition palette), but the quality is nice. The shades are smooth, soft and buttery. They blend easily too, and the palettes really do create some very pretty eye looks on their own but I like to mix in some other matte shades.

The glitter/shimmer shade (the "Pop" shade) in each palette really is a nice formula where it transfers well and doesn't give you any fall out. I have read reviews that said they had some fall out, but I have not experienced any. They're one of the best I've tried.

The limited edition palette is a bit more money (which I didn't realize until I wrote this post), but I still think it's worth it only because the shades are so wearable and you can wear them wet or dry. It's a palette I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of.

There are other quads available that I'm curious to try out, but I'm certainly not in any rush to get any more. Do I think these are worth the money? Yes. Do I think you need these in your collection? It depends on your taste. If you're not into sparkle, then no, you don't need these (although there is one all matte palette that I heard is wonderful). You can also find great shadow formulas that are more affordable - like Lorac and Urban Decay.

What it comes down to is price per shadow; they are $13 a pan ($16.25 a pan for the limited edition palette) and when you put it that way, it doesn't sound that bad. I've really been liking the Charlotte Tilbury line and I think these shadow quads are one of her better products for sure!
