Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Mauvelous - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

Back in September I reviewed three shades of the Be A Bombshell Lip Gloss - shades Sangria, Taupeless and Hot Mess. Since then I've gathered another three shades! In this post specifically I am focusing on the shade Mauvelous because it is absolutely my favorite of all the six shades I have. It's so much more pigmented then the others, and it's absolutely a stunning shade. I have pics and swatches of Mauvelous, as well as a comparision of all six shades I currently own swatched next to each other. Check out all the product info, along with my review, after the pics!

My Review...

I've always liked the Be A Bombshell Lip Glosses, but after trying Mauvelous I really LOVE them... well at least I am in love in the Mauvelous shade!

The shade Mauvelous is way more opaque than the other shades, and almost looks/acts as a liquid lipstick - that's the kind of intensity it has. Still has great shine, feels very comfortable on the lips, and the color is absolutely stunning. A perfect mauve-pink! I also love that Mauvelous doesn't have any shimmer in it - it's just a cream shade.

They just came out with I believe 4 new shades, Mauvelous being one of them, and I hope they continue to create new shades - especially non-shimmer, cream finishes. Still on my wish list: Last Call Girl, All Dolled Up, and Caliente.

Like I mentioned, I always liked these glosses but I was never wow'd by the formula; in my original review I mentioned there wasn't anything about the formula that bothered me - it just wasn't life changing. Just a nice, good lip gloss. They all leaned on the sheer side until I tried Mauvelous. Maybe Mauvelous just seems more pigmented because more product comes out on the applicator. That's something the other shades I own seem to lack, but I'm not real sure.

Final Thoughts...

If you've tried Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Glosses before and wasn't blown away or in love, but want to give them a second go, then I highly recommend the shade Mauvelous. If you haven't tried them yet, then I'd recommend starting off with the shade Mauvelous (as I think it will flatter a lot of skintones).

Really LOVED Mauvelous (as if I didn't say that enough already). It was like a completely different lip gloss formula compared to the other shades I own. Love it and would recommend!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Blush in Love Me, Sweet Cheeks - pics, swatches, review - plus a comparison of all 4 shades I own

Hello, Beautiful!

Back in September I reviewed two shades of blush from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics -- shades Raspberry Tart and Beach Please. I really do like their blushes -- especially love using the shade Beach Please when I want to brighten up my face, plus it's a matte blush and I love matte blushes. In this post I have two more shades to share with you: Love Me and Sweet Cheeks. I'll show you pics and swatches of those two shades, as well as a comparison of all four shades I own. Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Blush Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $16.00 (0.17 oz full size). Available on the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics website.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Kisses

Product Info...

Be A Bombshell Blushes are highly pigmented and long-lasting, for all day wear. They are soft, smooth and very blendable.

Currently available in nine shades, and I now have a total of four shades. I'll list the shades below, along with their description per the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics website.
  • Love Me: peach - a warm medium peach with a hint of shimmer
  • Sweet Cheeks: pale pink - a medium rosie pink with shimmer
  • Raspberry Tart: dusty coral - a shimmery mid tone coral with a bronze undertone
  • Beach Please: bright pink - an intense matte pink
  • Glowing Goddess: peach - a medium peach with a hint of shimmer
  • Spoiled: pink - a lightly peachy pink with a hint of shimmer
  • Whisper: gold - a light golden copper with a hint of shimmer
  • Blind Date: warm coral - a medium coral with shimmer
  • Tanorexic: warm bronze - a sun kissed bronze with shimmer

My Review...

As previously stated, I have four shades now - Love Me, Sweet Cheeks, Raspberry Tart, and Beach Please. Love Me and Sweet Cheeks are a bit lighter than the other two I own, and have a bit more shimmer to them. They add a gorgeous glow to the cheeks. They do have shimmer in them, so I don't reach for these (or any shimmer shades) often as my only blush, I prefer to use these two shades (Love Me and Sweet Cheeks) specifically to add a highlight to the top part of my blush, near my cheekbone (but not on it) because I really do think they add a pretty glow when used the right way.

Out of the four shades, I still am in love with Beach Please because it's a matte - and it's the only matte blush they currently offer. But I still like all the shades I have from them. I would love to see them come out with more matte shades!

I really do like these blushes. I think they are some of my favorite blushes that I have in my collection. The price point isn't bad because these blushes have a good formula and they're nicely pigmented, meaning you'll use less product. I really would recommend these and I think these are one of the best products from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics!

Again, I only have the pic I posted on Instagram, but I promise at some point in the future these posts will include high-res pics and more pics than just the overall bag with contents!

Ipsy is just $10 a month! Each month you'll receive 4 to 6 deluxe or even full-sized products. If you want to sign-up for your own Ipsy bag, CLICK HERE (it's my referral link - you don't have to use my referral link; it only gives me points that I can save up to redeem for prizes in the future).

  • Total # of Items Received: 4

  • # of makeup items: 3
  • # of nail items: 0

  • # of body care items: 1
  • # of fragrance items: 0

Now I'll talk about each product...

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick
Shade: Get Ready
  • MY THOUGHTS: Even though this isn't a full sized lipstick, this may be my favorite item out of the entire bag! It's a really cute size and the color is gorgeous. Great pigmentation and feels comfortable/moisturizing on the lips. Makes me want to try more shades from this line.
  • FULL SIZE: 0.12 oz @ $18.00
  • SIZE I RECEIVED: 0.05 oz/1.5 g
  • VALUE: $7.50

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eyeshadow Quad
Shade: Bora Bora, Starlet, Rock Bottom, Risky Business
  • MY THOUGHTS: I love Be A Bombshell Cosmetics, and while people are tired of getting something in almost every Ipsy bag from them, I actually enjoy it because it's a full sized product every time, the quality is nice, and I almost always end up using it. This time it is one of their shadow quads. I already own several of their shadow singles (I think I have 7 or 8 shades now), and I have two or three shades from this quad so I'm not going to keep this one for myself, since I already have them in singles - but if I didn't, this would be used for sure because they are nicely pigmented and the colors are perfect for summer too!
  • FULL SIZE: 0.17 oz/4.8 g oz @ $16.00
  • SIZE I RECEIVED: this is a full sized product
  • VALUE: $16.00

Chella Eyeliner Pen
Shade: Indigo Blue
  • MY THOUGHTS: I love liquid liners, so I was excited to get one in my bag - although I didn't open this one up because it is blue and I already have two liquid liners in blue shades opened.... and I hardly use them. While I love using blue as a liner - especially because it really pops against my brown eyes - I don't think I'll open this up yet or I may end up blog selling it.
  • FULL SIZE: 0.034 fl oz @ $24.00
  • SIZE I RECEIVED: this is a full sized product
  • VALUE: $24.00

Vita Liberata Luxury Tan - pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Lotion
Shade: Medium
  • MY THOUGHTS: I had never heard of this brand, so when I looked it up and found it sold at Sephora, I got a bit more intrigued... especially because the full size retails for $54! It's always nice to be able to try something out in a smaller size before committing to that kind of price tag. Honestly, I'm not a huge self tan person, but when I do use self tanner it's normally before a special event and I almost always only use it on my legs because they are the whitest part of my body. I like that this is supposed to last 2 to 3 weeks - that's intriguing in itself. Although I haven't tried it yet, I'm looking forward to giving it a try!
  • FULL SIZE: 5.07 oz @ $54.00
  • SIZE I RECEIVED: 0.67 fl oz/20 ml
  • VALUE: $7.13

The actual bag everything comes in...
my thoughts:
  • I actually don't like the bag this comes in. The pattern is really blurry on my bag and maybe if it was sharper I'd enjoy it more, as I think it sort of looks like nail polish swatch blobs in an artistic way. Everyone's bag had the same pattern, but different placement on their bag. I've actually seen better placement in other photos. It's okay, just not my cup of tea this time around.

My Thoughts On Entire Bag...
  • FULL SIZE/DELUXE SIZE: This bag contained two full sized products and two deluxe sized products.
  • VALUE: The value was approximately $54.63
  • USAGE: I have already used the Bare Mineral lipstick several times - it's GORGEOUS! Love the shade and will continue to use. I don't need the Be A Bombshell quad, as I already have 2 or 3 of the 4 shades in singles. The eyeliner, while I would typically LOVE a product like that, I don't plan to open just yet as I already have two blue liquid liners open and I don't want to open another. It may go in a blog sale. And the self tanner will get used, but I'm not sure when I'll give it a try.
  • FINAL THOUGHTS: This bag contained only 4 items and usually I get 5 to 6. However, it's still an amazing value for a bag.

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics - The One Stick in Southern Belle: pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

I have another new product from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics to share with you in this post, it's their new The One Stick. Since I know a lot of you received one of these in your December Ipsy bag - myself included (I received the shade Girl Crush - which I posted a pic of my Ipsy bag on Instagram) - that I would go ahead and do a review post and show how this looks as a blush or on the lips (could use as an eyeshadow too, and even a highlight depending on the shade). Check out my full review, including all the product info, after the pics!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics
The One Stick
Shade: Southern Belle

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics The One Stick Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $16.00 (0.26 oz full size). Available on the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics website
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Kisses

An all-in-one multiple stick with a smooth texture. Apply to eyelids, cheeks or lips for the perfect pop of color anywhere!

Currently available in 7 shades. I have two shades - Southern Belle (which is the shade featured in this blog post), and the shade Girl Crush (which I received in my December Ipsy bag).

I'll list the shade names and their descriptions below:
  • Southern Belle: Coral - a warm coral with light shimmer
  • Girl Crush: Light Pink - a pearlescent light pink
  • Buckwild: Copper - a shimmery copper with gold undertones
  • Flustered: Bright Pink - a warm bright pink
  • Plum Crazy: Purple - a bright pinkish purple
  • Sunset: Coral - a deep coral with light shimmer
  • You Glow Girl: White - a shimmering white

I find this product to be very pigmented and also very creamy & soft, so you need to be careful with how you apply this as a blush or you could easily over do it - a little will go a long way. It does blend out really nice and makes a softer shade.

On the lips the shade Southern Belle is a pretty color, but the texture felt a bit odd on my lips. It almost felt gritty and like it was a bit greasy or had some slip to it. I honestly don't use any kind of multiple sticks on my lips because I'm rarely a fan of the way it feels. I guess if you're in a pinch you could use this on the lips but if you have other products that are more cushiony, smooth and hydrating on the lips I'd recommend that instead.

On the cheeks, this is really pretty - although, for me personally, I don't really wear cream blush. Depending on the shade you buy, you could use this product as a highlighter, bronzer, and eyeshadow in addition to using on the cheeks as blush, or on the lips for lip color.

On a side note, when I opened this it had little black particles on the top of it - which you can see in the one photo above. I know this is just a fluke and something that was very easily remedied, but I still wanted to mention it because I like to give a full and honest review.

The One Stick is very similar to a NARS Multiple, where you can use this for blush, eyes, lips, highlight, bronze, etc. depending on the shade you choose. I'd say there are some dupe, or close dupe, shades within the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics The One Sticks (compared to the NARS Multiples). Without doing any swatching, just based on shade descriptions and photos, here are my suggestions of what seems close or close-enough...

If you want to try the NARS Multiple in Undress Me, try The One Stick in Girl Crush
If you want to try the NARS Multiple in Portofino or Orgasm, try The One Stick in Southern Belle
If you want to try the NARS Multiple in Riveria or Maui, try The One Stick in Flustered
If you want to try the NARS Multiple in Laguna or Palm Beach, try The One Stick in Buckwild
If you want to try the NARS Multiple in Copacabana, try The One Stick in You Glow Girl

I also want to point out that while the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics The One Stick is $16 and the NARS Multiple is $36, the NARS Multiple also includes a almost twice as much product. If The One Stick was the same size as the NARS (0.50 oz, verses 0.26 oz), it would be priced around $30 to $32, so it really is just slightly cheaper than the NARS multiple when you look at it that way.

Overall, I think this is a great alternative to the NARS Multiple as well as nice product all on its own. If you're into cream products - especially if you like cream blush - or if you like the convenience of being able to use one product for multiple areas, then you need to check out the Be A Bombshell Cosmetics The One Stick!
