Pink Wednesday: snowman pink

Hello, Beautiful!

First, sorry for the lack of posts this week. My son had off school Monday & Tuesday for parent/teacher conferences and I tried to do a lot of activities with him. I also had to pack-up a bunch of blog sale orders (thank you to everyone who made a purchase!). I wanted to make a quick Pink Wednesday post, but be sure to come back later today because my Birchbox should show up this afternoon, which means I'll make my monthly Birchbox post shortly after it arrives [Birchbox isn't showing up today :(   Looks like it will probably be here tomorrow, Thursday, instead].

Today's Pink Wednesday mani shows one of the new 2011 Snowman polishes sold at Rite-Aid. I picked up a few of them when I went there a few days ago. There is no color name, just "Snowman" printed on the bottom of them all. The pink today is a blue based glittery pink; shown below using two coats.

To re-create this pink mani:

  • 1 coat of Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat, as my base coat (which, by the way, has been amazing for my  nails. Not a single break since using it and my nails are finally growing in beautifully!)
  • 2 coats of Snowman nail polish, the pink glitter.
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Let me know what you think...

Pink Wednesday: a simple jelly layer

Hello, Beautiful!

Sorry I haven't been posting daily. It's been busy here; mostly with getting the blog sale finalized. That's right, I'm finalizing it. It's so close to being done, but I still can't put a date on when it will launch because I know how my life has been going this week and I don't want to jinx it. But if I were to guess, I would say after this weekend it will be launching.

Also, I will be selecting the winners of my 500 Follower Giveaway! There are over 1,300 entries - not including bonus entries. I'm making sure everyone's entry counts and then I will use Random.org to select the winners. Winners will be announced within the next day or two!

Now onto Pink Wednesday...

Today's Pink Wednesday mani is just a simple layer mani that has a jelly finish. No nail art or stamping or creative combo. I really wasn't inspired and I didn't have much time. Not to mention all my nails are nubbins! I broke so many; my right hand is worse. I've just been so busy and doing so much here that I didn't really care at the time but now I do. Ugh, oh well. It's been one of those weeks...

To re-create this Pink Wednesday mani:

  • 1 coat of Essie's Ridge Filler Base Coat
  • 2 coats of Sephora by OPI polish in Access 24/7
  • 1 coat of Love My Nails polish in Diva
  • 2 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Pink Wednesday: Sweet Pink Leopard

Hello, Beautiful!

I didn't have plans to participate in today's Pink Wednesday manicure, only because I'm still not feeling well and haven't done my nails in several days. However, my dog decides to play "creep out my owner by making her think some masked killer is outside the door at 6:30 in the morning". Yeah, that woke me up from my barely any sleep last night, due to this stupid sickness. So for the half hour I had before needing to wake my son up and get him ready for school I decided to do a quick Pink Wednesday mani for today. Then that mani got ruined while packing up his lunch and I had to re-do it later in the afternoon. Enjoy!

To re-create this Pink Wednesday mani:

  • 1 coat of Essie's Ridge Filler Base Coat
  • 3 coats of China Glaze polish in Go Go Pink
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to make sure the pink was fully dry before painting on the leopard design
  • Using a thin pain brush, I painted on the leopard design using Wet n Wild Wild Shine polish in French White Creme (for the white spots) and Sephora polish in Coffee In NY for the brown lines and spots.
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to finish everything off.

Pink Wednesday: Dotted Flowers

Hello, Beautiful!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another pink themed mani! I apologize in advance for my extremely dry skin! I didn't realize how dry it looked until after I took the photos.

Enjoy! :)

To re-create this Pink Wednesday mani:
  • 1 coat of Deborah Lippmann's Ridge Filler Base Coat
  • 2 coats of Wet n Wild Wild Shine polish in French White Creme
  • 1 coat of Essence polish in Space Queen
  • Using a dotting tool, create flowers by making 5 dots in a connecting circle and one dot in the center. Colors used for the flowers: Funky Fingers - Manic Flamingo, Essie - Castaway, Essence - Ultimate Pink, H&M - Coral, China Glaze - Traffic Jam, and China Glaze - Strawberry Fields
  • 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to finish
