I have yet another Carol's Daughter hair product to share with you in this post! This time, it's a product for healthy scalp and hair: the Carol's Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir Restoring Hair Oil. This works best as a hot oil treatment or pre-shampoo deeper conditioner. I like it for scalp health. Read my full review before, including all the product info, after the pics!

A conditioning scalp and hair oil that moisturizes, soothes and rejuvenates both the follicle and scalp.

Basil Oil increase circulation in the scalp. Peppermint Oil moisturizes both scalp and hair. Clary Sage soothes your scalp if it's tight, itchy or irritated.

The only way to get healthy, beautiful hair is to nourish your hair through all three phases of growth - from deep inside the follicle, along the scalp, and all over the hair strand. This fan favorite hair oil from Carol's Daughter takes care of the last two phases as it rebalances and soothes the scalp. Plus, no parabens, no petroleum, no mineral oil, and no artificial colors.

When you get this you'll need to cut off the tip before use. You can use this by applying a small amount into your hands, rub together and then massage the oil into your scalp and hair.

You can use this as a hot oil treatment by putting it in a cup of hot water for 3 minutes, then apply to dry hair, concentrating on damaged areas. Rinse with warm water when you're done.

You can also use this as a deeper conditioner. Apply the oil all over and then cover your head with a towel and leave on for 5 minutes (a warm towel works best). Then rinse thoroughly with warm water and shampoo as usual.

This worked okay for me; I used it as a hot oil treatment mainly and would rinse it out and then shampoo. I do think it has made my scalp healthier and has helped to nourish my hair, but I don't see as many results as I do with say her Tui Hair Oil. I think this would be more effective on someone who has thicker, coarser hair or someone who is dealing with a lot of breakage. Also, if you want something healthy for your scalp then I would absolutely recommend this!

Heat protectant products have been more and more incorportated into my hair care routine over the past couple years, but most recently this past year I've been trying out a bunch. This is a great product to use if you like to use velcro rollers to get volume in your hair; it really helps to hold that style and give your hair even better results. That's what I mostly use this product for. Also nice if you like to braid your hair while wet and wait till it dries to take the braids out and get that perfect beachy wave look. 

Would recommend to anyone who wet styles their hair. It smells soooo good too!

Normally I love almost everything from Carol's Daughter, but the two products in this post were just slightly too heavy for my fine, thin, hair. They are nice products though, so if you have thicker, coarser hair - or any other hair but fine and thin - you may really love these. Use this nourishing hairdress to protect hair from damage, deeply moisturize and ease manageability. Plus, this best-seller shields hair from everyday wear and tear and boosts hair's natural shine. No parabens. No petroleum. No mineral oil. No artificial colors.

You can use this as a styling cream for natural hairstyles. You can use this as a leave-in moisturizer on wet hair after washing. You can use this as a hair and scalp moisturizer. You can use this as daily maintenance on children's hair. It also smooths edges and flyaways.

I like to apply this in my damp hair, just a little goes a long way, and then style as normal. It does add moisture and shine to my hair. If you use too much your hair can get that greasy look and it can weigh hair down - especially if you have long, fine, thin hair like I do.

This one jar will last forever, as you use very little. It's a nice product, but because my hair is so fine and thin I do find it can be a bit heavy, so I don't use this very often but I will use it every now and then. I would recommend this to people with dry, thick, or coarse hair - great for ethnic hair!

A rich moisturizing cream that quickly and easily absorbs into your curls, coils, kinks and waves to leave them defined, glossy and frizz-free.

Cocoa & shea butters intensely rehydrate your hair. Soybean oil leaves hair softer and stronger than before. Agave Nectar keeps moisture locked in for better definition and frizz control. No parabens. No petroleum. No mineral oil. No artificial colors.

I only have the travel-size, and I'm kind of glad about that because I don't think this did a whole lot for my hair. There are better Carol's Daughter hair products to choose from, especially ones that work better in my long, fine, thin hair.

I do think it works to define your hair and does a decent job with frizz control. I did see there is a light version of this, which I think may work better for my hair type. I think I'd recommend this if you have thicker, coarser hair.

If you like using hair oils then you may like the Carol's Daughter Tui Hair Oil. This yummy smelling oil moisturizes hair, leaving it soft and more manageable. I like using this because I feel its a lighter-weight oil and it moisturizes my long, fine, thin hair without weighing it down or making it look or feel greasy. This oil smells great! I really like the scent; but I can't describe it - all I know is I'm sensitive to smells and I liked this one! I use maybe a dime size in my hair (from mid-shaft to ends, concentrating on the ends) and it's all I need. Even though this does richly moisturize your hair, I felt it is pretty light-weight - unless you use too much, of course (but that's true with any hair oil).

I have used this as a pre-shampoo treatment, but I mostly use it after I'm out of the shower. I apply it on my damp hair, concentrating on the ends, and it just helps my dry ends look healthy, shiny and moisturized!

Even though this is a smaller bottle, at 2 ounces, you only need to use a very little amount each time so this one bottle will last me a long time. I really liked this hair oil and would recommend!

Overall, I think this is a great product that I'd recommend to anyone who wants their ends to look healthy, smooth and freshly cut!
