I have the shade Medium, which works well for my skintone and is what I have in the Original Miracle Skin Transformer. Although I do find the Medium shade in the Acne Control formula is slightly darker in tone. You can use the translucent shade at night to double up on your acne fighting efforts as an overnight acne treatment.

The texture of the Acne Control formula is different from the original. The original has a whipped mousse-like texture, where as the Acne Control formula is more of a liquid. Applies beautifully, as it melts into skin looking undetectable on the skin. Buildable if you prefer to layer it up for more coverage, since on it's own it has sheer coverage (I think it has less coverage than the original with a single layer). The coverage issue is probably the only reason I did not give this a 5 out of 5 Kisses. But for what I use this product as - a makeup primer - I don't really care about the coverage.

As I've mentioned, I personally like to use this as a makeup primer. I find it helps to fight my blemishes while I have makeup on, yet it doesn't interfere with my makeup at all. If anything, it acts just like a makeup primer would. I find it helps my foundation go on smoothly and it really does help control oil - something that was very noticeable when using this product.

Consider this your acne treatment, your tinted moisturizer, your BB cream, and your makeup primer all in one product. I really loved his product and very much prefer it over the original version. If you have acne prone skin, or currently are battling acne, then I highly recommend giving this a try. It is worth every penny!

This is essentially CellCeuticals version of a BB Cream. Sheer/tinted coverage, which for my flaws isn't enough to wear on its own but you may be able to wear this on its own. A little goes a long way, and it spreads onto skin easily. Has a gel-cream texture.

This is a great alternative to other BB Creams on the market that you should check out.

The BRTC Blemish Recover Balm offers 12-hour hold for perfectly radiant skin. Has great coverage, controls oil, has an SPF 28 PA++, antioxidants for your skin health, and moisturizes your skin.

Formulated with blue science, this BB cream is cooling, soothing, oil control and skin protecting. A special serum formula helps sebum control. Botanical ingredients made from formulated Blue Science helps clean deep into pores. Fluid complex of BRTC allows skin nourishment and moisture allowing full hydration and prevents from drying. Skin is protected against harmful environmental ailments, providing full oil control while soothing inflamed skin.

It has a light scent and a creamy, smooth texture. It does offer nice coverage, especially for a BB cream.

It does only come in one shade, which won't for everyone. I have lighter medium skintone (MAC NC30/NC25) and this was a little light for my skintone to wear on its own. However, to wear under foundation would be fine.

I like to put this on when I'm not leaving the house so my skin has a little coverage and is getting lots of good-for-me ingredients to nourish and moisturize my skin -- helping with my blemish-prone skin.

I recommend checking out this BB cream or any of the other BB creams available from BRTC.

Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++ -- before & after, pics, swatches, review

I've been interested in trying a BB Cream for awhile now and received a deluxe sample with one of my Sephora orders. A BB Cream can be used on its own, under makeup as a primer, or as a tinted moisturizer. The purpose of a BB Cream is to perfect the skin. I'm still on the fence as to if I like this or not. Full review at the end of this post.

If you don't know, BB stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm (Boscia refers to it as Blemish Balm). The PA at the end of the product name refers to Japan's PA protection system which measures the levels of UVA protection that provides superior defense against the rays that cause collagen damage and photo-aging of the skin. Three plus signs represent the highest level of UVA protection.

Shade: There is no shade to choose from; just one shade fits all (which may not fit all). I fall into the lighter medium skintone category; in MAC I'm NC30/NC25.

This is an oil-free cream formula (which to me, feels more like a gel-cream), B.B. Cream. Contains Abyssine, a naturally-derived survival molecule, which shields and soothes skin. Hydroxprolisilane promotes skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Beta-Glucan provides essential moisture and protects against environmental damage. Jojoba Leaf, a powerful antioxidant, combats free radical damage while it nourishes and protects skin to prevent premature aging. Willowherb, a unique anti-irritant, helps to calm skin inflammation and reduce visible redness and irritation. SPF 27 PA++. For all skin types.

Sheer to light coverage.


Wear:
Average wear; not super long lasting and is not waterproof or sweat-proof (as it recommends reapply after swimming or sweating).

Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++ Review:
I rated this product a 3.5 out of 5 Kisses because I'm still on the fence with it. I like it, but I certainly don't love it yet. I haven't worn it out of the house because it doesn't give me enough coverage and layering foundation and/or concealer and/or powder on top is not why I'd want to use this product. If I had better skin I may love this because the color works really well for my skintone.

I was impressed with how much it did cover. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not full coverage or anything like that but it did reduce the look of my brown spots (hyper pigmentation from acne) and improved my overall skintone. It's not enough coverage for me, but it was more than I thought it would provide. It gives me more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. In a pinch this would be all I needed to get out the door quickly.

I don't hate it, I don't love it, but I like it. I have a feeling it will grow on me and I'll end up loving it and using it all the time. Or maybe not, lol. Only time will tell. For now though, I'll give it a few test runs on days I stay home before I give it a go outside of the house.

I really can't recommend this yet because I haven't tried other BB Creams to compare this to, and I really haven't given it enough test drives. However, I can say that based on what I've experienced so far, I would suggest this product to someone with great skin who falls into the light to medium skintone range.
